Do you know if this mod works with the Better Glass mod by Testercat46?

So far it looks beautiful in the Big Display case, but.  I didn't see an option for the small display case?  Tested12/6/24
The 8 count card slots look is very nice on the Big Display Case!  I like the 32 cards now on display.  Looks absolutely amazing!
    Great work!!

It initially did not work for the small/large display cases, and it stopped working for the card/glass tables (except vintage) after a few save reloads or game restarts. I can see some texture fighting on the card holders so the extra slots definitely exist, just overlapping with the default ones. In addition, I was able to pull out some of the cards from the overlapped slots (and even place cards back in them), but some are ungrabbable. I've found that certain furniture rotations can make some of the bugged slots grabbable or ungrabbable.

Although I used a modded save for testing (money, levels, and unlocks done through SaveEditor) I still think it's more likely to be a mod conflict... the ones that have some relation to card slots or their furniture would be Better Collision (though I just placed and snapped the furniture normally), Jumbo Cards (I changed the sizes during my tests), Resizable Price Tags (also changed sizes), and Auto Set Prices (though this feels unlikely). However, even after removing those mods, the slots didn't un-bug.

I then created a new save (which I again modded through SaveEditor) and experienced the same initial issue with the small/large display cases even without the aforementioned mods. I placed the mods back in and tested around and finally something occurred after having changed both Jumbo Cards and Resizable Price Tags back to the sizes I prefer them at after reverting them to 1x beforehand. The small and large display cases unbugged, the card and display tables bugged out, while the vintage table bugged out in a way where the slots where offset.

This is still not a thorough test so I still haven't determined what's causing the initial bug, but assuming you've tested Jumbo Cards already (as mentioned in the post) Resizable Price Tags might be worth looking into.

      As for feedback...
I think it's ideal for slot counts to be divisible by 4 or 8. Also, I feel like the excess space on the left/right sides of each row/furniture can definitely be utilized. Though from what I could tell... you've added new slots without repositioning existing ones, so I don't know how doable these suggestions could be. A completely configurable mod (wherein the slot counts can be changed) definitely won't be easy either.

      - 12 (3 per row) for small display case is fine as is though the gap between cards could be increased by using the aforementioned space
      - 16 for card/display table, potentially 20 with the excess space
      - 20 for vintage table, potentially 24 with the excess space
I've been wanting to remodel vintage table so I wouldn't even mind if the cards reach the table edge (just before the rounded edge) because that still leaves enough of a gap when you snap two vintage tables together
      - For the large display case, I feel like this is where the configurability would've been great. I have my own opinions but someone might feel differently. I'm personally leaning towards 6 or 7 per row, but someone else's use case and arrangement might be better served by 8 per row, even if it may be a bit cramped.

Thanks for the feedback, i'll take all these in cosideration.

As far as the bugs go right now, i tested it with my suite of mods, but i reckon any mod touching the init of "cardshelves" could be interfering.
I will test some of your listed mods during the weekend when i have some time on hand

Thanks. I'll continue with the tests myself when I have the time since I have more mods than that (though I only listed the ones I assumed would conflict). Just mostly QoL or visual stuff, but it won't hurt to check. None of them are mods that require replacing asset files directly at least.

Now that I think about it, TextureReplacer allowed changing tint and transparency of the glass shelves/displays recently though I don't know if that would conflict...?

I actually think the offset in the picture of the vintage table would be cool even if as of now it is a glitch.

Oh yeah, agreed. I think it works best for the table types due to seeing them from above, and I could even let the odd slot count slide with this actually. It would also make Jumbo Cards avoid clipping and maybe even feel less cramped. Not too sure about the shelf types since you typically see them from the front, but well, I'll definitely drop a screenshot if it ever bugs out that way on my end.

I have just updated the mod.
Tables and Shelves are configurable seperately.
For now i have set a min and max value which make sense.

I have removed the functionality for the small display case for now, since that requires some seperate logic, since its not nicely divided in a cardcompartment group per shelf.

The alternate pattern was something i wanted to do, but that is for a next update

For some reason it keeps stacking the new holders on top of the old ones. I made sure to full clear the cards off before installing the mod. Do I need to get rid of my existing shelves and buy new ones for them to render correctly?

In the big card displays the extra holders created are in the same place as the old ones not offset so some cards are stacked on top of each other if you had cards in the cases before you add the mod. You can click each card and get the overlapping ones off but not the other one underneath until you uninstall the mod.

Good idea, but it makes picking them back up (at least out of the display case) VERY difficult. Finding the hit box to pick it up can be nearly impossible in some cases.

Yeah, it was a quick mod for now, there's a couple of things i can try and do in an update

      • make the hitboxes for the raycast a bit smaller, because i think they are overlapping now
      • Make the mod configurable (which tables / shelves get the extra cards)

      Any feedback is welcome !

No worries dude. Like I said, it is a great idea. Just needs a little tweaking. I spent nearly 20 minutes trying to get all the cards picked up out of the display cases. But visually, it is perfect! Don't give up on it
