G'Day Tragic here!

Welcome to Star Trek : Frontiers, better know to the Mage Knight Community as "Trek Knight". This is a
slightly stripped down version of Mage Knight re-jiged with a Star Trek
Theme.

If you are a Mage Knight player you have most of the rules already known, as much is a direct copy, but there is a number of
modifications to the original rules as well as a completely new subset
of rules. Even so in general this version is much easier to run and less
unforgiving to play.

I hope you guys like it, and remember to Support Game Developers and Publishers by buying the real thing!

Have Fun and ROLL WHITE!!

Mod Overview

  • Also : If you press "2" or "1" over the Borg Cubes, you can change how they look. 1 = Normal, 2 = Destroyed.

Wrath of Khan?

Yes I own the expansion, and yes I plan to add it to this mod when I get a chance! Stay tuned!!

Thanks Go Out To

Cryptosha : Crypt did much of the scripting on the original Mage Knight mod, including all the Rule Books stuff as well as the Card Offers and Map Setups. While I have done all the scripting on this one the offer, rule book and tile offers, being identical was re-purposed form his original Mage Knight script code

FoaS : The "Data Tokens" in this mod (the Trek Knight equivalent for Mana Tokens) are in fact taken form FoaS's excellent currency mod. You can find his mod here for all your coin and notes needs!..... Currency: Coins, Gems, and Notes @SteamWorkshop

CrazyVulcan : - CrazyVulcan has released a number of Star Trek Attack Wing mods to the workshop. I have used the 3D Meshes from his BORG, ROMULAN, FEDERATION and KLINGON attack wing mods... check them out. Attack Wing is a re-theme and tweaked version of Star Wars : X-Wing.

Anything I need to know to play this Mod

If you wish to easily rotate your spaceship into facing directions for  aesthetics, then I recommend setting your rotation angle to 30 or 60  degrees.

I have also included for aesthetic reasons Romulan and Borg Sphere objects. They are not needed to play and serve no purpose besides looking cool on the table. Simply place a ship on top of the revealed Rampaging Enemy if you wish to use them.

When you destroy a Borg (City), hover your mouse over it and press "1" or "2" on your keyboard to change the look of the mesh.

Want to make your Own maps?

Due to a request I ha made a quick PNG file with the UVmap for the MAP tiles... simply load it up and paste in your own content. Use the original maps in the mod to get the backs and stuff to match.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/vwgf6jzr0ga1h05/Map_Tile_LAYOUT.png?dl=1

Once you make the map, upload it to a share site like imgur, dropbox or google drive, then in Mod itself, copy one of the existing map tiles, right click on it and then paste in the link to your new map in the diffuse section (2nd line)

Why are you uploading on Nexus?

GoogleDrive deletes files if they are not used for a while by moving them into the trash. They are still accessible, but as you fill up the drive with "active" files, the older files are automatically pruned... after a few years almost all my mods got broken with 100s if not 1000s of broken links. I was so upset I stopped modding for over a year.

I am now rebuilding my mods and using STEAM CLOUD to host the images. This "should" ensure that the links do not break as long as steam exists. To be safe though, I am also uploading my mods as I fix them to this site as well as a backup that is independent of any cloud storage, as this site stores the actual mod assets in a downloadable package.

How do I use a TTS mod from Nexus?

I get asked this a lot, so I am now going to add this to the bottom of all my Nexus Mods.

  • You will need TSS Mod Backup @TTSNexus to install this mod.
  • Download the ttsmod file form the file section.
  • Load TTS Mod Backup and click IMPORT BACKUP.

This will add all the assets to you TTS cache folder.

  • Then go to the file section and download the .jason save game file.
  • Copy this to your dave game folder by default this will be...
    "c:\Users\<userName>\Documents\My Games\Tabletop Simulator\Saves\"

Now the save is in the save folder, simple load the game and load the save file.

An Alternative way to get the save file is to <Subscribe to the mod on Steam Workshop>. This will add the mod to TTS and you can use it as normal. The thing is if the links to the files ever break and stop working form the Workshop file, you can use TTS Backup to import the mod assets. This should mean that the mod will always and forever be playable.
