About this mod
These settings were designed with a single goal, clearing up the image of blurriness while staying true to the original art.
- Requirements
- Permissions and credits
- Changelogs
I went into these settings with the same goal I had with The Banner Saga, clearing up the image while staying true to the original art. I don't want to overly change how the game looks, but I do want to clear up the image of any blurriness to make the game "pop" more.
The settings I used for this one are: Clarity2, Prod80_01B_RT_Correct_Color, uFakeHDR, GBloom, LumaSharpen, and EyeAdaption.
These settings probably have a bit higher requirement than the one's for The Banner Saga, as the game itself is graphically intensive and a lot more modern. I'm running an AMD RX 6600 and an AMD Ryzen 5700X, and it runs really well, in the 100+ FPS range depending on the area, so if you have these or higher, you'll be perfectly fine. It may work on lower end hardware as well, since I try to use lightweight filters, but I take no responsibility if anything happens. I doubt anything will, but you never know.
How to Install:
1. Download the preset .ini file From Nexus Mods
2. Download the latest Re-Shade mod: https://reshade.me
2. Unzip the preset RAR using WinRAR/7Zip to a folder of your choice, then click copy
3. Open the Re-Shade EXE file then scroll through your list of installed games and search for SystemReShock-win64-shipping and select it, then hit next.
4. Then select DirectX 10/11/12, and click next again.
5. On this screen you'll want to click the Browse button on the bottom of the screen, then navigate to the folder that the main "System Shock" exe file is located. Typically, the Steam version is here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\System Shock Remake\SystemShock\Binaries\Win64
6. Once in the Win32 Folder, right click in the folder window, then click paste, and it should paste the copied preset file into the folder.
7. Once copied select the ini file named The Banner Saga Clear Image then click open.
8. Once opened, the Re-Shade tool should automatically select the correct files for you, then you just need to click next, and it'll download the required shaders, then you're done!
9. Now you can open the game, and when you load it, the reshade mod will automatically load the settings and you can play normally from there. If you want to see what settings are being used, press the "Home" key.
