I always found the skittish, hectic drumbeats to be a distraction from the otherwise wonderfully creepy atmosphere of the game, so I took them out. There is one instance where drums still play in game and the credits music is also unaffected.

I realize not everybody dislikes the default style of the game music. If you are one of those people, then this mod is likely not for you.

Requirements: Vaxquis SS2 Vintage Song Remake v1.0 - (Follow install instructions Patch with SS2Tool etc.)

Installation:

First install Vaxquis SS2 Vintage Song Remake v1.0  available here: https://www.systemshock.org/index.php?topic=6849.0

Backup the .wav files in SS2_Vaxquis/snd/

Then extract the .wav files from this MOD into the "snd" folder in the "SS2_Vaxquis" directory.

Unintsallation:

Copy the .wav files that you backed up before installation into SS2_Vaxquis/snd/ and overwrite when asked.
