CONVEX HUD/Reshade

A Reshade for System Shock 2.

It is a bit darker, adding to the creepiness of the game.
It is sharp and somewhat less colourful.

The Reshade has created the illusion of wearing a visor with a convex heads-up display.

There is a scan line that moves occasionally down the visor/screen.

If you do not like it, press the HOME Key to open Reshade, scroll down to CRTRefresh.fx and deactivate it.

I have included two extra files in this pre-set.
They are not within Reshade, as far as I know.

Just extract MaskGlowAdvanced.fx and Bumpmapping.fx into the (reshade-shaders\Shaders) folder.

In-game, hit the HOME Key and select MaskGlowAdvanced.fx and Bumpmapping.fx.

As far as I know, MaskGlowAdvanced.fx and Bumpmapping.fx are not provided within Reshade.

It may make the colours look orange or brown.

If so, and according to the advice from Di0nysys, do the following if you want to turn off the filter.

Add a semi-colon to this line:
d3d_disp_sw_cc_rgbfilter 1 0.7 0.3

Like this:
;d3d_disp_sw_cc_rgbfilter 1 0.7 0.3


I have set my screen resolution to 3840X2160.

Some of the settings of the Reshade will cause a substantial FPS drop.
However, the game is old and still runs at around 60 FPS with the Reshade enabled.

What does concave mean?
Concave means “curving inward” or “hollow and curved,” like the inside of a bowl or, more technically, the inside of a partial sphere. A crater is roughly concave.

What does convex mean?
Convex means “having a surface that is curved or rounded outward,” like the outside of a contact lens (the part a person touches when putting it on their eye). A mound is roughly convex.
