About this mod

A beautiful Reshade for sharpening, saturation boost and color rebalance with Ray Tracing ON. Should work fine without RT as well.

INTRODUCTION

This is my personal Reshade Preset. Note that I have quite a powerful rig: Ryzen 5900x + RTX 3080Ti, 32 GB RAM (saw this game eating up 28 GB, hah) - so it is probably suitable for similar setups. I am playing in 1440p, Ray Tracing ON, DLLS QUALITY, Sharpening set to 50. With this Reshade, I do not see drops below 70 FPS, looks great, feels great, plays great but eats up around 30 FPS. This is not the best optimised game... Let's hope that a first AAA title from China (Wu Kong) will be better. Anyway - if you want a lower FPS impact - turn the Unsharp effect OFF when you load up my preset (inside of Reshade control applet in-game).

Majority of your typical presets from different people for different games just darken everything up with a fake HDR. I am extremely allergic to that - shadows darker than black do not exist in nature - just different shades of grey. Deeper shadows + HDR should not make everything fade into black. This is why I have to come up with different variations of my personal presets each time I want to make any game look better. Alternative versions of this preset are also available for Cyberpunk 2077 as well as Ghostwire: Tokyo.

INSTALLATION

1. Download and install Reshade - BEWARE: 4.9.1 VERSION STRONGLY SUGGESTED (actually, any build before 5.0 and further). I do not know why but Unreal Engine and Cry Engine games do not work well with newest Reshade builds. The same performance issues occured in Ghostwire Tokyo - just enabling Reshade cuts -20 FPS instantly - even with no effects turned on, also breaks g-sync by crazy flickering, a lot of strange stuff happening. Version 4.9.1 does not cause any problems though so use the older build instead of the newest ones.

2. Download my preset, place it in the game's binary folder (where a main .exe is - Sword and Fairy 7\Pal7\Binaries\Win64).

3. While in game - press HOME, skip/read tutorial, set up a shortcut for turning effects ON/OF, load my preset (upper bar/active field with a presets list to choose from).

4. You're done!
