About this mod

This is a collection of mods that has been updated and repacked to utilise the SC2MM mod manager client. The aim of the project is to rebalance the economy and tactical / long range weaponry while trying to stick to the vanilla game experience as much as possible.

Summary
This project uses mods that were from the old (now defunct) Gas Powered Games forums, that I have either modified or repacked to utilise the SC2MM mod manager client.  The aim of the project is to rebalance the economy by reducing the requirement to continually manage mass converters during the endgame and to adjust nuclear and long-range weaponry (Artillery, Tactical Missiles) while trying to stick to the vanilla game experience as much as possible.

A very special thank you to Compelx, Mitthy, Winter-Dragon, Esch1lus, madface and Shadowlord001, without all of your hard work this project would not have been possible, and all credit goes to each of you individually for the original works that form a part of this collection.  While I have made some tweaks here and there after extensive play testing, the tweaks have been minor, and the majority of my work went into re-packing existing legacy mods to support Compelx's mod manager client.  I am making this available only to allow more players to experience your amazing work.

Core Changes
  • Removes extra engineers on spawn, more in line with SC1/FA.
  • Adjusts economy and purchase price of most buildings and/or units.
  • Adjusts health, damage and range of basic air, sea and land units to improve game balance.
  • Adjusts health, damage and range of experimentals, making them significantly tougher and more in line with SC1/FA.
  • Adjusts Mass Extractors to have veterancy that scales up Mass production over time.
  • Places much of the focus on Energy production thanks to the increased Mass production mentioned above.
  • Reduces number of nuclear missiles allowed in each silo, increases cost and build time of missiles.
  • Reduces number of anti-nuclear missiles allowed in each silo, increases cost and build time of missiles.
  • Adjusts all faction's long-range weaponry (Artillery, Tactical Missiles) to have matching range.
  • Adds an additional projectile to the Aeon Tactical Missile launcher and increases damage to more closely match the other factions.
  • Increases build time of nuclear and long-range structures to prevent the AI from spamming.

Known Compatibility Issues
While I highly recommend the below mods, they have known compability issues with this project:
  • Revamp Expansion Mod (RVE) by OverRated & Avitus12 (version 2.0 - B1.1 P2)
  • SC2 Total Overhaul & Rebalance Mod by Stavrozium (version 2.0)

Installation
  • Download desired components of the pack.
  • Download and install SC2MM client.
  • Point SC2MM at your game directory and ensure unit-cap size is kept at 1000 (settings button, bottom right).
  • Add all downloaded mod components to SC2MM client using the Add Mod button (bottom middle).
  • Load mods into the 'installed' column using the arrows (center of the panel).
  • Launch SC2 either through SC2MM or through steam (note you can just launch through steam unless you want to modify the installed mods).
