In my use case, I try to upgrade my house with an upgrade ticket, but it says there are pets in my house! For the same reason I cannot use the Demolition Kit to tear my house down. Therefore, I erased all pets upon using a demolition kit!
This is a passive mod. When you click to use the demolition kit on a house, all pets in the world, of all players, in all scenes, will be deleted.
Do give it a try if you are experiencing the same bug.
