DESCRIPTION
Project Kyaro is for those who want to experience Suikoden Remasters with a different set of sprites, offering an alternative to pixel art over high-definition backgrounds. This mod is not meant to replace or disrespect the art of pixel drawing. Instead, it provides players with a choice to enjoy the game in a different visual style. The name "Project Kyaro" comes from the first texture mod for Suikoden II on RetroArch.
DEVELOPMENT & FUTURE
✔ The Mod now supports both Suikoden 1 and 2.
✔ The mod still in active development with the focus now being on improvement and maintenance
✔ Some sprites may be missing—please report them here or on Moogles & Mods.
This mod was tested for the Steam PC version only though it can possibly work on other launchers provided you installed special K properly .
Known Bugs and Incompatibilities
- The zombie in Neclord's Castle in Suikoden 1 is a visual bug that resolves itself as you progress to the Neclord Castle mission. It occurs because the sprites for the zombie summoned by Neclord in town and the castle zombie share the same memory location. The former is upscaled by default, which causes a visual bleed when using a different art style because the Zombie in the castle basement was simply visually hidden to our view but without the mod you can randomly talk to an invisible being if he is active on the field.
- Rivatuner can cause wild crash and behavior for special k
