Suikoden 2 Recruitment Patch
A mod that allows you to recruit characters much earlier in the game.
This mod allows you to recruit Tessai, Gantetsu, Genshu, Long Chan Chan, Alberto, Chuchara, Mazus, Pesmerga, and Vincent much earlier and, in effect, recruit characters like Bob earlier.
Acknowledgment
This mod is based on the binary patch values shared with me by psychedelist way back in 2020 on Suikosource from his rebalanced hard mod.
With the assistance of asilverthorn of Moogles and Mods, I was able to figure out and find the values in the JSON files of the MonoBehaviour of the game in Unity. Without these two, this wouldn't be possible.

Recruitment Order Changes
Tessai
New Recruitment Condition: After Two river mission, return to HQ, speak to Shu (Castle Level 2), then bring Viktor to Kuskus.
Gantetsu
New Recruitment Condition: Recruit him anytime in South Window and have a party with a good amount of strength to push him.
Genshu
New Recruitment Condition: Recruit him anytime after getting a castle and bring someone with a Level 14 Weapon (e.g., Tir or Pesmerga).
Long Chan Chan / LC Chan
New Recruitment Condition: Bring Wakaba in your party in Rockaxe or Crom Hotel.
Alberto *NEW*
New Recruitment Condition: Speak to him in Tinto armory shop with Annalle and Karen already recruited.
Chuchara *NEW*
New Recruitment Condition: Visit Castle docks after recruiting Viki and Badeux.
Vincent *NEW*
New Recruitment Condition: Castle Level 3, Visit Radat town with Simone already recruited.
Mazus *NEW*
New Recruitment Condition: Castle Level 3, speak to him with at the tinto mines
Pesmerga *NEW*

Additional Effects of the Mod
- Hammers - Collecting Iron and Copper/Bronze Hammer has an actual value in-game because Tessai can use them early.
- Bob - This mod makes Bob’s recruitment way earlier, even without Tomo recruited, provided that you have Feather, Sigfried, and the five squirrels.
Installation:
- Install the UnityPlayer CRC bypass
- Place the extracted /Suikoden I and II HD Remaster_Data/ from the mod folder into the game root and overwrite if prompted.
