About this mod

Remove the helmet of the huntress, for all pandora scenes

Permissions and credits
Remove the helmet on The huntress, for pandora scenes

The textures are replaced by using SpecialK tool (inject into the game)
Easier than editing the game file directly, and easier to share

A few shaders are disabled with Reshade add-on "Shader Toggler"

Installation steps:
- Download SpecialK (local injection) from their Github
- Rename SpecialK64.dll into d3d11.dll (or dxgi.dll if the game crash) and put alongside the game exe (Subverse-Win64-Shipping.exe)
- Download and open Reshade (add-on version)
- Point it to the game exe (Subverse-Win64-Shipping.exe) and choose DirectX11
- Ignore the "download shaders" step
- Tick "Shader Toggler" add-on in the second step, then finish the install
- Copy the content of this mod zip into your game folder, alongside the game exe (SK_Res folder alongside Subverse-Win64-Shipping.exe)
- Start the game

Potential install issues:
if her helmet visor is still visible, and pressing F1 doesn't change anything:
- Open SpecialK control panel (Ctrl + Shift + Backspace)
- Open the "Plugins" menu
- Untick "Compatibility mode" for Reshade
- Restart the game

Limitations:
- If you play the "real game", then press "F1" to temporarily disable the mod (it breaks rendering outside pandora)
- It breaks Lily glasses too, so press "F1" to temporarily disable the mod if you look at Lily in pandora. Probably breaks more stuff
- The developpers obviously did not animate her (hidden) eyes, so they look broken in most scenes (they look ok in some scenes though !)
- The pandora scene "Two versus one" has a graphical issue; the Xenos are semi transparent. But all other scenes work perfectly

Info:
- I tried to make the helmet disappear when inside the ship, but it broke way too many effects, and I am not really interested in that.
- Instead of using a local injection of SpecialK, you could use a global injection with SKIF, and put the SK_Res folder inside the game profile (see their doc)
- A better way to make this (easier to install and without any graphical issue) would be to make a .pak mod, but this requires editing her model in the game files. This would be way more complex to pull off
- Tool used to make close-up screenshots: UniveralUnrealEngine4Unlocker

I am not providing SpecialK dll directly into this mod for two reasons :
- Security reasons (don't load random dlls, though SpecialK is a really famous tool, look at PCGamingWiki for example)
- GPL licensing
