Most Reshade configs aim to either make the game prettier, or make it scarier. With this shader, I aimed to give the best of both worlds. This shader will give your world a grittier and harsher feeling, while also maintaining or improving the bright, poppy colors. This leaves you in dark, mysterious biomes, full of pretty flora and enemies lurking on the edge of your vision.
In the 2.0 Clean-it-up remake, I removed some heavier lighting effects, made some visuals clearer, and lessened the FPS impact, all while keeping the same TheDepths feel! The original 1.0 version is still up for download if you dislike the changes.
How to install:
1. Drag the contents of TheDepthsShader.rar into your Subnautica directory (Steam/steamapps/common/Subnautica). 2 - When in game press the HOME key to open the Shader menu. 3 - Select TheDepthsShader.ini from the dropdown menu and press Select.
