A relatively lightweight Reshade config that aims to make the game both more realistic, and extremely terrifying. Be sure to use the Filmic color grading. This shader also works with Below Zero.

!NEW SHADER OUT! CLICK HERE FOR IKF'S VIBRANT SHADERS. ENJOY!!
(Keep in mind that this shader also works with Subnautica Below Zero, it just was designed for Subnautica. It still looks and works the same in both games.)
*Be sure to have the Filmic color grading, otherwise this shader won't look as good.*
Most Reshade configs aim to make the game scarier or prettier. With this shader, I aimed to give the game the best of both worlds between terrifying and beautiful. This shader gives Subnautica a more realistic look and darkens the overall game to make it scarier, and realistic, all while keeping the stunning colors. The flashlight will be your best friend because during night, it is impossible to see without a light source. Minimal FPS loss. (It's also recommended to mess around with the gamma setting to fit your liking. I currently have it set to 1.20, but if you like the game to be darker, slide it down!) ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ (After checking boxes for effects, click next until its finished installing.) How to install: v 1 - Download the latest version of Reshade and install it on Subnautica. Subnautica uses DirectX 11 so click the DirectX 10/11/12. Check all boxes for effects. 2 - Drag the contents (the IKF_Shaders.ini file) of Kaiju's Shaders.rar into your Subnautica directory (SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/Subnautica). 3 - When in-game press the HOME key to open the Shader menu. (I recommend to follow the tutorial if it's your first time with Reshade!) 4 - Select IKF_ Shaders from the dropdown menu and press Select. 5 - That's it. Enjoy the best shaders!
