About this mod

BE WARNED! This save is only compatible with the experimental branch or update V2.0 (which will be released at some point).

Permissions and credits
As V2.0 arrived now, I switched to "stable" branch and tested the save. It loaded even without any ingame conversion necessary. :D
So, enjoy the new update with this save. :)

WARNING! This is an experimental save, only compatible with the respective branch or the FUTURE V2.0 update.

In this save, you start in the LifePod with being fully infected.
All gear is available and a lot of bases too. You may heal Ryley and simply leave the planet or check out all the bases by yourself.
It's a hardcore save and no console was used, so some achievements should be able to pop on this one.

  • Safe Shallows base

This is the closest base to the start point, has the Seamoth resting in one of the moonpools and a Cyclops + docked Prawn nearby.
200m away from the base is the Neptune escape rocket located, but you need to get healed first for getting off the planet.
The base uses a combination of solar panels and thermal power plants, so it is self-sustained (but may run low on heavy load during the night).
Two cuddle fishes can be found in the 3 level high ACU within the multi-purpose room stack.
The garden contains all growable plants and inside you can find all land plants.
The main ACU just contains fishes that require eggs to grow. With the exception of the spade fish, even though you can find eggs of it in the wild, it doesn't produce any inside the ACU.
Scanner room uses 4x range upgrades (500m range)

  • Jellyshroom cave base

Popped into a quite cosy location.
The base has a combination of thermal plants and bio reactors. Even though the thermal plants may be perfectly enough to power the base, if more energy is required the bio reactors can be used to give it full power.
It only has one moonpool. 2 stacked ACUs are used to breed bio fuel and the upper ones contain all egg-laying creatures (no spadefish this time).
The garden is a smaller, but still contains all growable plants (the inside provides all land plants).
Scanner room uses 4x range upgrades (500m range).

  • Mountain Island base complex

These are the highest located bases in the game.
The base with the multi-purpose room is the lower one, getting powered by solar panels and a bio reactor. It provides a specific guard rail energy line on the outside to warn the player not falling down there.
The other base with the large rooms is located on the higher mountain and is either powered by solar panels and 2 bio reactors.
This one also provides a guard rail energy line on the outside / garden to warn the player from dangerous heights during the night.
ACUs are there to produce bio fuel and to house some wrathful sea creatures.

  • Void Observatory

This base is located in the Crag Field / Great Reef right upon a Sea Treader path (even though they stopped spawning there. :().
It's used to trigger the Ghost leviathans from the Void by walking through the straight hallway at the end of that glass passage.
It's powered by a bio reactor and a nuclear reactor and may be out of power when arriving.
4 reactor rods and of course a ACU full of bio fuel are ready to power the base. Main ACU breeds all egglaying creatures and the spade fish.
Scanner room uses 4x range upgrades (500m range).

  • Floating isle base complex

Quite similar to the Mountain Island base complex, these are two independent bases.
The one with the multi-purpose room, uses solar panels and a bio reactor to get power.
No specific ACUs are available, but a nice view.
The other one either uses solar panels and a bio reactor to generate energy. Yet aside of bio fuel, the ACUs do not breed any interesting fauna.
However, both bases replace the original Degasi bases, except of the base with the large room, simply has a connection to the main Degasi base down in the valley, instead of having a base there too.

  • Lost River base

WARNING! A juvenile ghost leviathan roams in this area!
The base provides energy by using 4 thermal plants and additionally being able to power up a bio reactor and a nuclear reactor.
So the base won't be out of energy at all, even if not visited in a while.
But it can be powered up intensely to reload batteries and power cells or even a whole vehicle.
The main ACU contains 2 cuddle fishes and a lot of other sea creatures, the other only breeds bio fuel.
Scanner room uses 4x range upgrades (500m range).

  • Inactive Lava Zone outpost

WARNING! Sea Dragon leviathans may show up!
This outpost has no own power source, but only uses the one from the main base in the lava lakes.
It just has a bed, some food and a scanner room with 500m scan range.
The moonpool is used on resource hunts for the Prawn.

  • Lava Lakes base

WARNING! A Sea Dragon leviathan may show up!
The main base in the lava zone uses 20 thermal plants for power. Even though 10 of them provide power to the outpost by power transmitters.
It has a lot of ACUs filled with various creatures (including 2 cuddle fishes).
Being that close to the PCF also has the benefit to quickly farm on ion cubes and use the portals to get to any other connected location.
This is possibly the biggest base I've built (even though the bases above water used up a lot of resources for connection compartments, they still do not provide that massive amount of rooms) in this save.
CAREFUL when being outside. The ranged attack of even the Lava Lizard can damage thermal plants heavily and the Sea Dragon can drastically reduce your power by simply destroying a whole bunch of thermal plants with one big lava shot.

Installation?
Well there is only one savegame path, but if they add Steam Cloud support, be sure to turn it off otherwise my save will be overwritten.
Move the whole "slot0001" folder here.
Steam\steamapps\common\Subnautica\SNAppData\SavedGames
But be sure to make a backup of your own folder there and then remove it.

WHAT TO DO?
Spoiler:
Show

Build a blue tablet! Then you can complete the game by getting healed in the PCF.
Just be sure to take a mushroom sample with you. All other plants are growing directly in front of the PCF in the garden of the lava lake base.
Feel free to continue on that savegame in any way you want. Just do not reupload it, please.
