Permissions and credits
The Maintenance Chief mod restores mechanics that seem to have been scrapped in development while not straying from canon. It is now feasible to play through the vast majority of the game without having to venture into the Aurora.

Upon scanning a fragment, there is a small chance of getting a random ingredient from that fragment (e.g. battery or sulfur from laser cutter fragment). Once a blueprint is fully unlocked, the likelihood of scavenging an ingredient increases dramatically. For balance/realism, fragments of items that use ingots yield titanium instead of ingots. Many blueprints are also reworked for balance and realism.

Each collected Aurora/Degasi survivor PDA restores a percentage of the blueprints database. Any blueprints already in the player's database are ignored. The blueprints unlocked with each PDA are randomized, making each playthrough more unique.

Oxygen consumption continues to increase with depth and the rebreather may not fully negate depth increases. Advanced suits also decrease oxygen consumption at great depths.

The radiation suit does not fully stop the effect of radiation when close to the source. Medkits are much more necessary.

Creatures swim slightly faster, requiring more careful maneuvering from the player.
Scanner room hologram range and scale increased. Power consumption greatly increased when scanning.
Seaglide hologram removed: now it's easier to just turn the flashlight on and off.
Medkits heal only 25% of health.
The builder tool now occupies more inventory space.

Several minor tweaks.
