Realistic Stage Lighting
This mod changes the lighting system on some stages to look more detailed and realistic.
It dims all the default stage lights of several stages to about 10%, then places some attractive spotlights around that highlight details like skin, fabric, sweat and muscle definition much more realistically than the default lights. There are 4-5 of these spotlights illuminating the stage and they all cast real-time shadows.
DISCLAIMER:
While this mod is titled "Realistic", the primary intent of the mod is NOT actually to make it look realistic. The intent is to bathe the characters in attractive lighting that shadows or gleams across them to show off their shape, normals/details and things like sweat.
I do think it looks a lot more realistic than the vanilla lighting, though.
1. Download and unpack Fluffy Mod Manager
2. Place the RAR files from this mod page in its "SF6\Mods" folder
3. Install the mods from SF6's mod list using the mod manager
4. (Optional) Install "No Character Front Lights" optional file from this mod if the front lights are bothering you
This mod and No Character Backlights modify the same files, so if you want to use them together, you should install No Character Backlights first and then overwrite its changes one stage at a time with Realistic Stage Lighting mods.
The mod is currently for 5 stages:
Fête Foraine
Bather's Beach
Barmaley Steel Works
King Street
Metro City Downtown
The lighting is not consistently the same across the length of each stage. This is intentional so that more lighting possibilities are available when moving around.
No Character Front Lights
UPDATED now for Rashid
Removes the front-light from each character. This mod has little effect in the base game, but can be important when using Realistic Stage Lighting, especially in stages like Metro City Downtown and Bather's Beach.
More stages will be added in the future, when I have some time.
