About this mod

This page is now memorials to my beloved past cats. Gone but never forgotten. All the cats will be added here.

I have lived with cats all my life and they have all been a huge part of my world, each one bringing their own unique experience and pleasure. I am the local 'crazy cat lady' and used to run a small cat sanctuary, taking in cats, getting them neutered and vaccinated before rehoming them. Many of these that came into my care were special and I just couldn't bear to part with them, so they became a permanent part of my family. This is my way of honouring them.

This page contains several files, all of cats that I've had in the past, some going nearly 30 years back and now all gone, but never forgotten. I felt that putting them into Stray was a fitting memorial for them and it keeps my memories of them alive and reminds me of the joy they gave me during their lives. Seeing them bouncing around in the game is like seeing them alive and vibrant again.

I will be adding all my past fluffies here.

Milo the Manx 'Stumpy':
I lost Milo very suddenly to cancer between Chistmas and New Year (2022). We had 13 glorious years together, ever since rescuing him as a happy little kitten who loved his red string! All through his life, he was a happy little chap and always the clown. Every day he would make me laugh. Everything had to be closely supervised by him - even the builders who worked on my home extension fell in love with their fluffy little overseer!

Milo was a long-haired Manx 'stumpy' (sometimes known as Cymric in America) and he had this silly little stump that he waggled!

All the cats use the same model, so the other 3 cats at the beginning of the game are also stumpy Manx with fluff.

Gnermal the tabby, long-haired moggy:
Gnermal - short for 'Girl Nermal' - was left on my doorstep in a cardboard box, back when I was running a small cat sanctuary. She was the most adorable little thing, definitely a contender for the world's cutest kitten. She died of a heart attack while commuting between bowls of food she scrounged from neighbours. I enjoyed 14 years with her.

Thing the Persian cross:
Thing was my first cat after leaving my childhood home - she and her brother had been dumped onto a main road as kittens and they were the beginning of my cat rescuing life! A friend took her brother and Thing chose to stay with me, becoming very attached. Thing spent some time with my friend's puppies, so she grew up thinking she was a dog. She played fetch and even walked on a lead with me. She was my constant companion for the next 14 years until old age caught up with her.

Osiris the Ragdoll:
Osiris was my first Ragdoll, he was only around 8 months old when he was killed by dogs, which left me devastated. I didn't blame the dogs, just the stupid, irresponsible owner - sometimes I really hate humans. I've tried to make him look as much like a half-grown kitten as possible, still had a thin tail and his points were still developing their colour. Over 10 years on and I still miss the little guy. Only sorry he never got to live a long, full life. He would have been the uncle to Atherton, one of my current Ragdolls.

Anubis the Ragdoll:
Anubis the lynx-point came to me along with his best friend, Bastet, after he needed a new home. He was the gentlest, softest Ragdoll cat who lived for being brushed. I lost him to lung cancer about 4 years ago and still miss him and his antics. Nothing ever got him down. The last thing he knew was me gently brushing him as he drifted off.

Huge thanks to vivisiow for helping me with Unreal Engine which was driving me mad! Without the help, I would never have achieved this. I am in your debt. :)

Without the PSD files and templates by TrueGrue I may never have even started this project.

Many thanks to norskpl for the stumpy-tail mesh and fur, help and advice.

Thanks also to wowowolf for the help in getting this project of the ground.
