This is hundreds of years in the future where we have FTL travel and telecommunications, autonomous androids, and replication tech. Surely by then we would learn how to bioengeneer crops to grow much quicker than they do now.
*This mod alters all existing vanilla crops. any other mods altering vanilla crops may cause conflicts!*
Just like the base game, plants cannot be grown until the wild version is observed or unlocked the usual way, such as in the case of Energy Crystals. Once plants are unlocked, the farmed versions will grow at warp speed!
Plants grow as fast as the code in the system allows: 4 game hours until plant growth, and fruiting plants (like Sausage Palms) have another 4 hours until fruits appear. IF I find a way to make them grow faster, I will update the mod.
Because plants grow super fast, manure fertilizing has been disabled entirely, and nothing grows in hydroponic planters.
TL;DR changelist:
-Vanilla farm-able plants all grow in 4 game hours
-No manure fertilization
-No Hydroponic growing
-All plants grow in temperatures ranging from -50 C to +60 C, with no speed reductions in the cold.
-All plants are unaffected by soil type (all types give 100% growth)
-All yields boosted to 100 - 300 units per harvest of respective crop (i. e. 100 for fruits/veggies, 300 for wood/sticks)
-Some tree field sizes have been reduced to allow more compact farms (Why does a single tree need a 7x7 grid?)
