About this mod

Modifies all 1bolt crossbows to have a 5 bolt magazine. Shoot 5 bolts before having to reload.

This mod is not and will never be for sale. It is only available on nexusmods.com and probably on the SOD2 modding discord but NOWHERE ELSE.

This mod is a simple file mod that changes the standard magazine and fixes up all the crossbows to not have weird reload issues on bigger magazines. Anyone can do this with a little elbow grease. I'm not your boss or your mom.

Modifies all regular 1-bolt crossbows to have a 5-bolt magazine.

Inspired by Joerg Sprawe's Instant Legolas crossbow modification for real-life bows and crossbows featured on the Slingshot Channel on youtube.

LET ME SHOW YOU ITS FEATURES!!

Existing 10 bolt repeating bow is untouched.
All other current crossbows have 5 bolt magazine
Reload speed has been modified slightly to compensate for the bigger magazine handling
Bows now have a pump-action animation like the 10-bolt bow.

Installation

Install using mod manager/mod integrator or drop the pak where you drop your paks.

Usually in %AppData%\local\StateOfDecay2\Saved\Paks for steam and epic

%AppData%\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Dayton_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Local\StateOfDecay2\Saved\ for windows store version

Conflicts

Will conflict with any mod that changes crossbows or their hidden magazine part. May not conflict with mods that change bolts.
