I just want to say that it does in fact make perfect sense that we might want to take the cussing out (yes, while leaving all that gory violence). The simple fact is that kids know violence is wrong but don't (at least at younger ages) understand when/if it's okay to cuss. So they'll pick one up by being exposed to it but not the other. This is the same reason, BTW, many people will be okay with violence in video games but not nudity/overly sexual scenes in the same medium. If it's morally ambiguous, we're more likely to be influenced by it than something we know (for sure, I mean) is wrong. Hope this makes sense!
Does it strike you as odd that someone likes violence in video games but does not like pedophilia in video games? No? Probably because there is no actual correlation between those two things. Similar to the fact that there is no correlation between profanity and violence. Secondly, who is insulted??? Well, than overly-sensitive people who complain about a mod that takes profanity of a video games that they don't *have* to download.
I never understood the kids who get all butthurt and feel the urge to come out of their cesspools and complain about mods that remove vices, such as profanity and 'adult' content. Like, if you don't want it, it is no problem. Enjoy living with your profanity, but others don't have to.

Thanks for the mod, IT took some tweaking, but I managed to get it to work with my YOSE except the additional voices you stated.
I know there is a difference: Brainwashing (like repetitive curse words) Which can influence anyone. and Fake violence (games, movies etc.) Which can only influence the weak minded or psychopaths who have no mind.
as one of the long time users of this mod, does it work for YOSE? i just picked it up on sale. Would love to have the same filter i had with the original
People who are offended by profanity aren't offended by you smashing the skulls in of undead monsters in a world filled with death, gore, violence, and suffering, and running around blasting away at living and undead alike with military weaponry? You have to live in America.
I was just going to write something. Smh. This mod is completely useless. If you don't want them hearing profanity and such, wear headphones! If that's not an option, turn the volume low or off. In all honestly, this by far one of the more useless mods I've seen. You don't want the kids or what have you, around hearing profanity but don't care if they see you bashing undead brains and/or humans? GG. Why are you playing a violent zombie game around then in the first place?

Ever think of it as a necessary vs unnessary issue? Self defense is neccessary. Cussing is not. You can enjoy a game about survival without having to pander to every excessive word in the dictionary.
And then oh I guess it's an American thing. You know how Winston Churchill put it: "When you have to kill a man, it costs nothing to be polite." That was his opinion on having class on the battlefield. Perhaps you know little about class, but it exists. Just because you have to kill something doesn't mean you have to turn into a complete barbarian.
Also, as a person who didn't download this mod because IDC, I do have to say that many times I think the characters sound sooo stupid dropping the F bomb every 5 seconds. To the point where they sound like little teenagers who just started using the word. Honestly, it's unrealistic how much they cuss without comparing them to really dumb people I know who cuss all the time becuase their vocabulary is highly inefficient. Frankly, I prefer hardcore survivors, not teenagers. And when you cuss excessively it makes you sound immature, and that might take away from the feeling of the game. Because a lot of players have an elite group of survivors who have a no bullshit attitude and probably wouldn't carry on like they're drunk at a frat party.
And to the guy who called the mod useless. It got downloads, and a lot of support, so it's obviously not useless. The usefulness of a mod is dependent on the people who download it. So GTFO and stop crying over people who don't accept your crude vocabulary. Not everyone wants to be like you.
So if the video game has violence it has to have swearing as well? There is no logic in that. That's like saying if a game has violent and suffering then rape can be included as well. You have to use violence you save someones life from a zombie. You don't have to rape, nor do you have to swear. Swearing is not a sign of maturity, it is a sign of immaturity.
Go on a job interview and start saying how F-ing awesome this job is or how your last boss was a B word and see if you get a call back. They don't care if you play violent videos games, or that you've watched saw 5 a hundred times, but they do care if you do not have the willpower to muzzle your mouth. Cursing shows you lack professionalism and intellect. A court room, a funeral, a wedding, or even out in public, cursing is not appreciated or wanted. Cursing demonstrates that you do not have a high level of intelligence, but a high level of ignorance depending on how often you swear. You cannot construct an intellectual conversation, so you resort to using vulgar language to compensate. Soldiers curse all the time, and I love them for defending our amazing country; however, whenever a soldier appears on TV, or must stand in front of a court martial, or has to write a report, all of swearing ceases to exist. It shows the world that we have a military capable of being professional, intelligent, and powerful. I didn't download this mod for kids. I downloaded it for me. There is nothing wrong defending yourself against dead things that want to eat you, and while I am doing that, I don't have to listen to a bunch of teen sailors in the meantime. I may have high morals, or values, or standards, or whatever you would like to call them, but it is those same high values that stop me from being a racist, rapist, murderer, womanizer, car-jacker, computer-hacker, drug dealer, etc. Those same high values is what America, and every other nation, is lacking.

I never really noticed the cussin' because I was TOO SCARED and probably using a bit of profanity as I ran away in terror.
