As I said below: No need! YOSE has the DLC weapons integrated into all the modes 'out of the box', so this mod would change very little in YOSE.

@Bloodjinn903 - If you're running my mod with the Year One Survival Edition, I'd recommend you uninstall the mod, it's not meant to be used with YOSE, hence the errors. It's also redundant because YOSE does by itself what my mod did for regular State of Decay.

Is this compatible with QMJS mod? Or can you teach me how to integrate all weapons in all modes incase this mod isn't compatible?

I accidentally had this installed on YOSE. Went through and removed the files, but none of the Lifeline weapons have sound now. Any idea what's going on?

Hi there! Hmm... that's an odd one. I'll try to help. Could you double-check that you removed all of the .xml files in \game\scripts\entities\items\xml\weapons\ ?

So I was one of the noobs that installed this on the YOSE version, I WAS going to ask if you could fix the CLEO drops cause they all break with the mod installed.

    Now I have a new question though;
Will removing it now break my current save?
Or will I be able to start where I left of and now actually loot CLEO boxes?

    Edit:
Perhaps you could mention it in the notes that this shouldn't be installed on YOSE?

Removing the mod now probably won't break your save. I can't guarantee anything of course, but I've found the game to be pretty resilient to mod additions and removals made mid-game. For example, my main Breakdown save has seen several iterations of all my different mods and it's still going strong.

Assuming that you're playing Breakdown, I'd recommend you remove the mod and then promptly move up to the next level. That'll almost certainly clear up any issues that might arise, because the map's loot is completely refreshed each time a new level is loaded. That should get everything working right again, including the CLEO drops.

If you're playing Story or Lifeline, on the other hand, there isn't any way to refresh the map, so any CLEO drops that've already landed before you removed the mod will likely remain broken (I'm assuming they're just empty?), but new ones that drop might work correctly.

If you want to be extra careful, you could back your savegame up by copying it somewhere safe in case removing the mod borks it. You can find the savegames in \Steam\steamapps\common\State of Decay YOSE\User\<userid>\

And you're right, I should mention it's not to be used with YOSE. Sorry about that!

You are correct, playing breakdown since I don't find normal and life to have enough replayability for me.
I have removed the mod since the post but haven't had any CLEO drops since then and went up two breakdown levels and thanks about the save backup, didn't know where they were stored so now I know what to do if I want to back something up before screwing things up haha.

Yea, it saves people the pain of getting the issue I and some others had and it saves you having to explain it to most people haha

I downloaded this through NMM and have been trying to enable it but it keeps showing in the mod activation queue 'A proble" and cuts off there and it has been doing this with all the other mods I try activating through NMM. I have manually installed it but there are other mods I wish to download and files conflict as well as manually downloading being a general pain for me. Help please?

Hi! I'm afraid I don't know much about how NMM works as I don't use it (I'm too much of a control freak! ) , but I suppose the main problem you're facing is that my mod is conflicting with one or more others you want to use. There's no easy solution for that, unfortunately. Heaps of mods change the same files I did (items.xml, search.xml, etc.), so it'd be a huge job to make and continually update compatibility patches for them all.

If you want to use multiple mods which edit the same files at once, you'll have to merge them together. It's extremely helpful to open the conflicting files up in a file comparison program like WinMerge to see what each mod's file changes and combine them into one file. It can be a bit time consuming, but it's not as difficult as it sounds once you get the hang of it.

I've tried opening the conflicting BMD files to merge them, byt WinMerge isn't actually showing any text. Should I be trying to open or convert them to something else first?

      @ commanderjarak

The .bmd files are the compressed files which the engine uses, and the .xml files of the same names are the source files which you can easily view and edit. If you want to merge or make any changes, you'll want to edit the .xml files in question, then covert them to .bmd with a tool like xml2bmd.

See this tutorial for more info (and also links to the tools you'll need): http://bsnooch.com/forums/index.php?topic=1279.0

No need! YOSE has the DLC weapons integrated into all the modes 'out of the box', so this mod would change very little in YOSE.

That said, I am working on a weapons-related mod for YOSE, which (among many other things) will also include overhauled loot, much more comprehensively than before. The goal of the loot part of the mod is increased variety and a better balance of what's common and what's rare. No more Diplomat revolver spam!

The Diplomat revolver spam and the number of shortened shotguns you collect on some play throughs are crazy sounds like a great mod !!!

The WIP one I mentioned? Still unreleased. It's mostly done but I've been taking a break from SoD and haven't gotten around to finishing it. I'll get around to it eventually.

Hi! Sorry for the late reply. Do you have the Breakdown and Lifeline DLCs in your game? If you don't have both, the mod won't work properly.

Also, this mod is for the original State of Decay only. It should not be used with State of Decay: Year One Survival Edition (YOSE).

am I able to use this with just SoD and Lifeline? I have no internest in purchasing breakdown, whatsoever. Thanks and sorry if this comment is redundant or already answered. I couldn't find a solution and won't move forward with the download until I know it won't break my game.

I hadn't considered it until now, but yes that should work fine. All of the Breakdown weapons are also included in Lifeline (even if you don't have Breakdown), so the assets are there. As long as you've got the base game and Lifeline, you're all set. Breakdown is optional.

Have breakdown and lifeline installed, still got a yellow ball on my first weapon, Rifle: 464 Cutom 22. Can the Improved Bases Pack mod be interfering ?

I had a look at that mod and it's unlikely to be the culprit, it doesn't change any of the same files that my mod does.

Hmm. It is a slight possibility that one of the game's own updates changed something to cause this. Have any of the other Lifeline guns spawned okay for you in the other modes?

Don't use this mod on YOSE. It's both unnecessary (as YOSE has DLC weapons in all modes out of the box), and likely to cause unexpected behaviour (because my mod's files are from the older, original version of the game).

Are you saying that you're finding Diplomats and literally no other guns, or just that they're more common than any of the other guns?
