Changelogs
Version 1.0.3
Initial Update. Replaces all default Rebel and Resistance troopers.
Command & Conquer Tiberian Sun GDI Soldier replacement for Rebel and Resistance Troopers!
-Replaces all default Assault, Heavy, Officer, and Specialist skins.
There are two versions of this mod being uploaded in the files directory. GDI_Soldier.fbmod is the default intended version I set out to create. GDI_Soldier_No_Faceplate.fbmod was created in consideration for those who may not like or appreciate the helmet being visible in first person. Because they overwrite the same assets they cannot be used together. Simply download one or both and choose which version you'd prefer to play with.
Originally this was a completely hand-painted asset I created over a long period in my spare time. It was a fun side project that was completely an aimless creation. After learning about Battlefront 2 modding, and as someone who used to mod years ago I knew I had the perfect asset to try and implement.
Updates down the road: Future updates to come! Including mesh edits and parts/additions for each class.
Currently, while I could replace clone troopers in the prequel era, I don't plan to since I can't replace the Separatists forces with the Nod Soldier.
Obviously I'd like to thank everyone involved with creating Frosty Editor and all the other tools, as well as helpful community members of the Battlefront Modding Help discord! Special thanks to modders I've worked with long ago on Tiberian Sun related mods in the past: CEBT, Havoc89, and Renardin who I've also featured on these skins. But most of all I'd like to dedicate this mod to my dad for introducing me to Tiberian Sun 20 years ago and always encouraging me to game and create art as well!
