Simple sound swap from the 32c beam standard fire to phased biomatter sounds. Beam overload is left the same. This was a personal mod, I like the 32c beams but always felt their sounds were just a bit too heavy for lack of a better word so I swapped them to the phased biomatter that sound similar but not as strong.
To install, copy the included 'localdata' folder to the STO install directory: 'Star Trek Online\Star Trek Online\Live\' Yes there are double 'Star Trek Online' folders.
For example if you are using steam you'll be going here:
Steam\steamapps\common\Star Trek Online\Star Trek Online\Live\
Correct file setup: Star Trek Online\Star Trek Online\Live\localdata\sound\win32
