This is the Pulsar Class V1.2 and the Pulsar Variants V1.0. They are balanced according to stock and then have a bit of a boost. The Pulsar Class will "upgrade" to the Pulsar Weapons Variant and that will "upgrade" to the Pulsar X Class. Admirals log pics, buildbuttons and simple wireframes included. This upgrade system is a preview of what's to come in STA2: Beyond the Horizon. I swear this ship looks a lot like the Luna every time I look at it, but it isn't quite "there". WARNING:

WHILE THE ZIP IS ORGANIZED INTO FOLDERS YOU WILL BE VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED IF YOU TRY TO EXTRACT THE ZIP DIRECTLY INTO YOUR ARMADA 2 FOLDER. SO DON'T DO IT.



CHANGES:

THIS PACK DOES NOT REQUIRE EITHER OF THE PREVIOUS PULSAR CLASS DOWNLOADS.

INSTALLATION:

1) Unzip the contents of the file into a temporary directory.

2) Open the folder C:ActivisionStar Trek Armada 2BitmapsAdmirals LogShip Images and copy fpulsar.bmp, fpulsarr.bmp, and fpulsarx.bmp there

3) Open the folder C:ActivisionStar Trek Armada 2ODFShips and copy fpulsar.odf, fpulsarr.odf, and fpulsarx.odf into it.

4) Open the folder C:ActivisionStar Trek Armada 2ODFSpecial_weapons and copy fpulsarupg.odf and fpulsarrupg.odf there.

5) Open the folder C:ActivisionStar Trek Armada 2SOD and place the fpulsar.sod, fpulsarr.sod, and fpulsarx.sod file there.

6) Finally open C:ActivisionStar Trek Armada 2TexturesRGB and paste pulsar_1.tga, pulsar_2.tga, pulsar_3.tga, pulsar_4.tga, gbfpuslar.tga, and wirePulsar.tga there.

7) Next to add the ship to your game, open C:ActivisionStar Trek Armada 2ODFStationsfyard.odf with a text editor, scroll down until you see:



//Construction Parameters

add buildItem8 = "fpulsar" right below buildItem7 = "fcruise2"

then buildItem9 = "fpulsarr" below that if you want the refit immediatly bulidable

and buildItem10 = "fpulsarx" below that if you want the X refit immediatly buildable



8) Next to get the buildbuttons and wireframes to appear, open C:ActivisionStar Trek Armada 2Spritesgui_global.spr, scroll down to the scetion titled Federation buildbuttons, add this line right below @reference=512:

for the wireframes scroll down some more until you find # federation wire frames, with @reference=256 right below it, then add this below that line:

9) The final step is to add the Pulsar and variants to your techtree. Open the C:ActivisionStar Trek Armada 2techtrees folder and then open the techtree you want to add the ship too (I reccomend tech1.tt and fulltech.tt)



Anywhere in the file (tech1.tt or fulltech.tt) add these lines:

fpulsarr.odf0//Pulsar Class Weapons Refit

fpulsarx.odf0//Pulsar Class X Refit



fpulsarupg.odf0//Upgrades Pulsar to Pulsar Weapons Refit

10) If you followed these easy steps then you should now have the Pulsar class and it's variants in your Armada 2 game. Enjoy.
