Should now more reliably keep the Tracker's Alliance questline from auto starting.
No changes were made to the Shattered Space or Trackers Alliance Mission Boards Addons. Only the version number was changed to match the main plugin version.
Version 2.0
Fixed terminal conditions for Distilling Confidence and subsequent missions.
Fixed terminal conditions for Spreading the News so it shows up earlier when it actually becomes available.
Shattered Space - Now keeps Dazra missions from auto starting. Please note that this only works when installed in a new game or in NG+ if installed before crossing over. The way the Dazra quests are handled are quite different than in the main game so it's the best I could do.
Yes, I have changed the name of the ESM. I have a ton of mods and I'm changing them all to start with Aurie_ as it makes it much easier for me to see which mods are my own. Just wait to upgrade when you start a new game right before crossing over into NG+.
Version 1.9
Added fix for Family Reunion not starting. This was due to the location alias not having the "Allow Explored" flag. If you have Mission Control - Family Reunion Not Starting Fix installed, you can remove it.
Added fix for Media Sponge sending to the same location over and over. This was due to the location alias not having the "Allow Explored" flag.
***************Mission Control - Shattered Space Addon Updates***************
Added fix for companion quest follow-up dialogue not firing if you have the Leadership skill.
***************Mission Control - Tracker's Alliance Addon Updates***************
Modified the script that checks for installed DLCs to also check if this addon is installed before allowing the TA Mission boards to be viewed in the terminal.
Version 1.8
***************IMPORTANT***************
Do not upgrade from v1.6 if you also have the DLC Addon v1.6 installed unless you have already completed the first Tracker's Alliance mission.
***************Conditioning Fixes***************
Fixed conditions for Shattered Space terminal entries so they will not show up if you don't have Shattered Space installed.
Modified script that checks which DLCs are installed so if you have Shattered Space but do not have the Mission Control - Shattered Space Addon, all Shattered Space terminal entries will remain hidden.
***************Added Features***************
Added framework to the main plugin for adding DLC Mission Boards.
Added an optional plugin that adds the Tracker's Alliance Mission Boards under Online Mission Boards.
***************Mission Control - Shattered Space Addon Updates***************
Added House Va'ruun Mission Boards under Online Mission Boards.
Version 1.7
***************IMPORTANT***************
If you already installed v1.6 with the DLC addon, do not upgrade to v1.7 mid save. Wait until you are in the Unity to upgrade from v1.6 to v1.7 with the DLC addon. I kept v1.6 and the old DLC addon available.
***************CHANGES***************
Main plugin now includes Tracker's Alliance. You will not see the Mysterious Tracker until you start the quest from the terminal under DLCs > Tracker's Alliance.
Changed name of Mission Control - DLC to Mission Control - Shattered Space as it now only adds support for Shattered Space missions. Any new DLCs will be added via new plugins.
Shattered Space missions can now be tracked. Factions > House Va'ruun to view the main quests that have been started/completed and side quests are under Cities > Dazra. The side quests will still start automatically in some cases but the framework is there for me to update them in the future so they will not auto start once I am comfortable that any changes I make to keep them from auto starting won't break the quests.
v1.7 Shattered Space addon requires v1.7 of the main plugin, so you have to download and install both if you want the Shattered Space addon.
Version 1.6
Updated mod in Creation Kit
Archived loose files
Fixed various conditions in the terminal.
Played through every single quest in a single playthrough to ensure all terminal conditions worked as expected.
Radiant missions are now marked with an asterisks (*) instead of (Repeatable) because this was not showing up for most quests due to being too long.
Added [Completed] tag to more items. Now when you complete all missions for Cities for example, the terminal will show Cities [Completed] on the main screen.
Added Liquid Assets and Drinks on the House that start after Distilling Confidence. Liquid Assets will show up after completing All That Money Can Buy.
Version 1.5
Updated for Starfield v1.11.36.0
Version 1.4
Fixed issue with Ships & Staryard missions not being able to be started with the terminal (they could be started by speaking to the appropriate NPC, but not through the terminal).
Added a non-marked quest that's a lot of fun in Neon - "About Face". It guides you through the quest (since there are no markers) without spoilers.
Modified Groundpounder and Failure to Communicate. They should now start properly once you hear the distress calls (instead of having to land at the research outpost or speak to Alben to start them). The distress call will not play until you enable them in the terminal.
Modified conditions for a few quests in the terminal that kept them from displaying when they should (or displaying when they shouldn't).
Version 1.3
Fixed issue with City_ER_Peace_Misc (Check-in with the Eleos Retreat staff) not completing after speaking to Sloan
Fixed the script for Landmark books so they are tracked properly.
Modified conditions for Eleos Retreat completion so that it didn't state all missions were complete before they actually were.
Updated quest headers for Starfield 1.10.31
Version 1.2
***************Conditioning Fixes***************
Modified conditions on Reliable Care & Suspicious Activities so they are actually hidden until Primary Sources has started.
Modified conditions on Spreading the News so it will actually be hidden until A Light in the Darkness has been completed.
Modified conditions on Overdesigned so that it is actually hidden when complete.
Modified conditions on Solomon's Trove so that it is actually hidden when complete.
Modified condition on Walter's dialogue line about wanting to speak with you so that he won't continue to say it after completing Overdesigned.
***************Mission Additions***************
Added another mission category, Ships & Staryards. Includes missions for ECS Constant, The Clinic, The Den, Deimos & Trident Staryards.
Added missions under Cities for The Eleos Retreat & HopeTown.
Added missions under Factions for UC Security.
Added Side Missions for Factions.
***************Mission Updates***************
Changed how Failure to Communicate and Groundpounder are started. They will not immediately start, but will be conditioned to be allowed to start when you are in the appropriate system. Altair for Groundpounder and various systems for Failure to Communicate. This will keep the distress calls from being constantly repeated if you are in the system for another mission.
***************Mission Tracking***************
Added a page for Landmark Books so you can track them as you find them if you don't want to start the missions using the terminal.
Burden of Proof Evidence now tracks which slates have been found.
Solomon's Trove now tracks which books have been found.
First Edition now tracks which books have been found.
Changed "Locations" to "Location Pointers" to make it more descriptive.
If a mission has subsequent missions in order to complete the questline, these have been noted on the Mission Start page. For example, the Defensive Measures questline includes False Positives & Leader of the Pack.
Modified some text to make it fit the terminal better.
***************Added Features***************
Added ability to access Mission Boards and Bounty Clearance from the Mission Control Terminal.
Version 1.1
Modified "On the Run" so the objective to talk to Mei about running the Red Mile isn't automatically added to the log.
Modified the Faction mission listings to text as the buttons didn't actually do anything and may have been confusing for some.
Changed conditions for Burden of Proof so it doesn't always show up as In Progress.
Modified some text to make it fit the terminal better.

UPDATE 03/26/2025
I have disabled commenting because no one seems to know how to read. Any quests that do not start when they should are NOT a result of this mod. I have tested this mod through countless play throughs and NG+. Read the IMPORTANT section below for info on why quests may not start. I have also removed the mod from Creations because I don't use Xbox and have no reason to keep this mod updated in 2 different places.
FEATURES
Less Activities - A majority of the Misc. Pointers that were automatically added to Activities have been removed.
Less Tutorial Pointers - Removes a lot of the pointers such as Craft an Item, etc.
Conditioned Command Terminal - Many missions can be started with a few clicks using the Mission Control Terminal. Includes conditioning so you won't be able to start a mission that should not yet be available to you.
Missions That Cannot Be Started - If a mission cannot be started via the terminal, there are instructions for how to start it manually.
Started/Completed Missions - Some missions that have been started and/or completed are removed from the terminal to keep the terminal tidy. Come back in NG+.
Includes Faction Missions - Yep, not even faction missions will auto-start. You can start them whenever you want. Except for Deep Cover (this mission can be started in a couple different ways and instructions are included in the terminal).
Mission Clues - Includes info to help with some missions. For example, what dialogue options to choose to progress the mission. Also includes info on where to find items for missions like Burden of Proof and Solomon's Trove.
Online Mission Boards - You can access Mission Boards from the terminal.
Does Not Remove Dialogue or Scenes - You will still hear the guards speak about different folks needing help, but it won't be automatically added to your log. Once you start the mission with the terminal, the associated dialogue will no longer be spoken (just as vanilla). You will still see the scene with Neshar when first arriving in Neon for example.
HOW TO USE
Accessing The Command Terminal - Once the mod is activated, you will receive a weapon called "Mission Control". Favorite this weapon to access the terminal. If you don't receive the weapon, save, exit and reload your save. If you still don't get it then you don't have the mod installed correctly.
If a Mission Won't Start - I have tested starting and completing every single mission in the terminal and all started successfully. This game is buggy and I've had missions not start even without this mod (I'm looking at you "Rook Meets King"), so if a mission won't start try manually starting it by talking to the NPC that gives the quest.
Shattered Space Addon
There is a separate plugin for Shattered Space.
Start Shattered Space - Click the DLCs > Shattered Space button. The first quest, "What Remains", will be conditioned to start and will start when you are in an appropriate system (can start in various locations).
House Va'runn Missions - All House Va'runn missions can be tracked under Factions > House Va'runn. These are the main quests for the Shattered Space DLC.
Side Missions - Once you complete "The Promised, Broken", you will see an entry under Cities for Dazra. The way the Dazra quests are handled are quite different than in the main game and they are all started as soon as you start a new game or NG+ (but not yet added to your log). So you need to start a new game or new NG+ to keep them from automatically being added to your log.
TUTORIAL POINTERS REMOVED
Check out the Constellation Mission Board
Check Out Your Ship's Inventory
Complete a Research Project
Craft or Modify an Item
Start an Outpost on a Planet
Talk to a Hireable Crew Member
Talk to the Ship Services Technician
IMPORTANT!!
There are a TON of bugs in vanilla Starfield which keeps some quests from starting. Rook Meets King is one of them (which this mod doesn't touch). The fix is usually to go to a save before it should have started and talk to Adler again and it will usually start. I always save right before speaking to Adler after doing what he requests so that if Rook Meets King doesn't start after I talk to him, I can load that save and not lose a lot of time. There are other quests as well that don't always start (Family Reunion is also one).
I have tested this mod thoroughly and I have been extremely careful to not break any quests. I have used this mod for over a year and have seen no issues with quests. If you have a quest that doesn't start, I'm 99.9% sure it has nothing to do with this mod. If you disabled the mod and the quest started, that is because that is the "fix" (load a save before the quest should have started and try again) and it had nothing to do with the removal of this mod.
NOTES
General Info on Starting Missions - Most missions can also be started just by talking to the NPC that gives the quest, so you don't necessarily have to open the terminal to start it if you know where to go already.
DLCs - From the main menu, select DLCs then select the DLC you would like to start. This button will only show up if you have a DLC installed (Shattered Space and/or Tracker's Alliance). For Shattered Space, you also need to install the Shattered Space Addon.
Tracker's Alliance - The Mysterious Tracker will not show up until you click the DLCs > Tracker's Alliance button in the Mission Control terminal. She will show up next time you are at any location that you would normally find her (New Atlantis Space Port, outside The Lodge, outside Cydonia, etc.). If you are already in a location she would normally spawn, she will just appear.
Speak to Sergeant Yumi - You will still get this quest. It is tied to the other Security quests so if you do join UC Security, you will still get the prompts from the guards when Sgt Yumi has another mission available.
Talk to Representative Chisholm - I didn't bother to remove this because if you ignore it and leave New Atlantis (or even just enter your ship), the quest will auto complete, so it doesn't stay in your log anyway.
Landmark Missions - These will still automatically be added to Activities if you pick up the associated book. I left these as-is so that you can still get the missions if you prefer collecting the books and not using the terminal to bypass them.
Failure to Communicate - You will not hear the distress call or get the mission until you start the mission in the terminal. The mission will not actually start, but will be conditioned to be allowed to start when you are in the system where Lopez's farm is located (varied locations) after hearing the distress call.
The Great Laredo Caper - Be next to Annie when using the terminal to start the mission. This will start the scene with her asking for your help.
Groundpounder - Same scenario as Failure to Communicate. It will condition the mission to be allowed to start when you enter the Altair system. Until then, you can go into the Altair system as much as you like and the distress call will not be played and the mission will not be added to your log.
Loose Ends - You can also start this quest manually by speaking to Neshar in jail.
Mantis - I modified the script so that just picking up the slate won't auto start the mission. You can either use the terminal to start it, or just read the slate.
Rough Landings - There is a vanilla bug that sometimes keeps Milena's ship from spawning. If this happens, just go into orbit and her ship and quest marker will usually spawn.
Supply Line - Once you completed this the first time, "Ask Yannick about another shift at Xenofresh" would automatically be added to Activities. This no longer happens but you can still talk to him to start up another Supply Line quest.
