About this mod

My character would never wear theArgos Miner jumpsuit, so this has taken away the impact of seeing my character as the victim of the Eye events. This mod simply changes one record so that the character wears Andreja's outfit instead, which my character usually does.

The You? NPC is also included if you haven't met them yet.

Changelogs
Through a simple outfit change, the dead body outfit and NG+ variant other you will wear a new outfit. Only affects other you (alive), if you haven't encountered them yet on your current save. NG+ will have them wear it the next time.

A more technically complex implementation for the dead body to wear whatever outfit you have on here.

Original Description of This mod:

My character Adeline would never wear that ugly Argos Miner jumpsuit.  Not for a single second, so this has taken away the impact of seeing my character as the victim of the Eye events.

This mod simply changes one record so that the victim body wears Andreja's outfit instead, which my character usually does.

Optional file include Amanirenas' Outfit since it was the first outfit I clicked that worked, so I already had the .esm made.

To change the outfit to whatever fits your character, just boot up this .esm in xEdit, open the file, right-click the outfit, and select the outfit you want from the dropdown menu.

I was initially going to have the character wear the Mantis Armor since most of us probably have a replacer we like, but it seems like the game prefers clothing to spacesuits when equipping. (Or maybe when I was testing, I hadn't yet figured out for the mod to work, I had to reload to a save BEFORE the vision.)

This must be installed prior to entering the vision. I used a save on the elevator to test various outfits. I spent way too long reloading this one scene, so I must now move on. Please let me know if you know what flag would make that body lootable.

Future Updates:
  • I want to figure out how to make this lootable, but I'm moving on from this part of the game for now to test other things.
  • It just feels more realistic that even your own dead body is just another NPC you can loot lol
  • I think everyone should download xEdit to tweak this to whatever outfit they want, but if anyone is reallllly desperate, I can get to a request or two.
  • If anyone makes a personal update and doesn't want to post it themselves, throw a Google Drive link in the comments and/or I'll host it here.
  • Someone ambitious could make a FOMOD that lets people pick just about any outfit.
  • Someone ambitious could probably make a mod that remembers what you were wearing during the events of the Eye quest and ports that onto the dead body NPC?
  • I want to change the default Other You? outfit as well. That miner jumpsuit is so funny looking to me lol

Vanilla Bug:

  • Sometimes (or always?) this body does not inherit your tattoos, same with the Unity version of yourself. This seems to be based on reloading a save or something.

I am a writer and teacher, staying up way past my bedtime to work on Starfield. Any support appreciated.
I love screenshots, nice comments, and endorsements. =)
