- Since 3.0.3 recycling is not returning objects, suspect CK unlinked the scripts probably due to the move to Starfield-Core
- DOH I didn't use ChanceNone for the breakdown chances originally, Resetting the defaults and using standard drop chance percentages.
- If debug mode is enabled you will get notifications again BUT you will get script lag if breaking down more than 5-10 items in short order.
Version 3.0.3
Game Options for controlling recycling
Moving to QOG Starfield-Core internal mode
Version 3.0.2
- The "Fix Junk Recycler" Pharma Bench item is now always able to be crafted
Version 3.0.1
The ModDebug script as unbound got stripped from the final BA2 trying again manually linking the scripts in the platform uploader.
Added a consumable named "Fix Junk Recycler" that only shows able to be crafted when you don't the perk enabled.
Removed the ModDebug helper the way ESL works that can't work you get new IDs ever time your load order changes so doing stuff with IDs is impossible with ESL.
Version 3.0.0
Remove RTFP support (Not supported on Xbox)
Convert to Starfield CK for xbox support
Version 2.0.4
Added breakdown chances Tier A (25%), Tier B (50%), Tier C (80%), Tier D (95%). This should cut back the massive number of materials we get from a recycling process.
Moved Tier B breakdown quantity to 2 to make up some for its lower drop chance.
Added new reset command (CGF "VJR_Debug.ResetSettings") for when an update changes the defaults though RTFP will handle too so it's not really needed.
Version 2.0.3
Added support for thrown weapons and mines again.
Added debug command to check for and enable the activator perk if it is not: CGF "VJR_Debug.CheckFixPerk"
Version 2.0.2
Stupid typo prevented the ammo breakdown list from loading
Disabled the inventory add notifications they horrendously lag for little benefit
Melee items should work again
NOTE: The known issue with the perk not getting applied so far has only happened to 3 people and not to a lot so leaving it as a known issue but not fixing yet. Though I will write a global function to detect if the perk is missing and add it sometime today. I just wanted to get the major problems fixed right away this morning.
Version 2.0.1
Doh forgot to tell 7zip to go recursive aka I messed the -r when I copied the compile changes from encounters :)
Version 2.0.0
No more annoying vending machine. You can access the recycler from any workbench.
All rules are controlled by RTFP see SFSE/Plugins/RealTimeFormPatcher/VJR_ItemModifications.txt default rules are from the hard work of Yorghan.
Manufactured Goods are no longer returned but over all you should get more of the base materials so will be easy to just craft the items you need at the industrial bench.
Ammo isn't current breaking down I think RTFP isn't allowing Keywords on Ammo records, or the form list filters aren't working researching with the author.
The new keyword system is a lot faster than the old system and, in most cases, will not have a queue. Groups are now processed as a single entity.
NOTE: DO NOT UPGRADE this new version is meant to work alongside Galactic Junk Recycler until you can do a new game or new universe. Removing Galactic Junk Recycler will call a CTD. So, when ready for a new universe get into unity, saver, exit, uninstall Galactic Junk Recycler, load the game and save and exit into the unity portal.
Version 1.0.13
Drag and drop error from me in the last fix. Its been a fun day.
Version 1.0.12
Fix for xEdit ESM comparison error in an area we didn't even touch. Can't wait for Spriggit to catch up.
Version 1.0.11
Jane1986 added new group recipe for plants and an item recipe for wire spool (becomes copper).
Old tools and decorative stuff groups have been expanded and renamed. Tools has become Metals and Decorative stuff has become Decorations.
Added batch file GJR_MiscItems for generating 1 item each to test the recycler
Version 1.0.10
Jane1986 added new group recipes for Soft Drinks, Alcohol, and Ceramic's and going forward will be helping me with this project.
Version 1.0.9
Fix for reported bug for placement in deimos hab
Version 1.0.8
New group rule for paper products, they break down into fiber, adhesive, polymer, polytextile, structural.
New group rule for pens/markers, they break down into lead, cosmetic, toxin, solvent, zero wire, and pigment.
New group rule for plastics/styrofoam, they break down into luxury, polymer, hallucinogen, and polytextile.
Dumbbells now are considered a tool and break down as such
We will no longer accept books but we hear Cora Coe, the Kid and Cora Coe, The Multiversal Book Hunter love them.
Version 1.0.7
No longer need to drop items to get an object reference.
Now uses the new shared object manager from Venpi Core 1.0.11.
Version 1.0.6
In the nova galactic workstation hab stopped clutter engine placing a generator thing on it.
Probably fixed the cell reset bug. Missed another on load call and needed to be triggered manually from on init in ship habs.
Version 1.0.5
Fixed armor and clothing not showing up turns out ObjectTypeArmor is not used by any armor /facepalm. Went back to using the ArmorType* keywords for the display filter. BE warned this may grab some quest items.
Added built in recycler to Nova Galactic Workshop, Stroud, Deimos, and Hope Workshop Habs.
Not doing Taiyo that is way too many to build a ship for, place, and edit the cells lol.
Version 1.0.4
Now using user debug logs via Venpi Core v1.0.10
Also now has a true fallback for any object type that is 1 random resource from all available resources.
Version 1.0.3
Added to the lodge basement
Ammo fallback is now 1 inorganic or organic resource but has a 50% change none
Misc items fallback is 0-2 random manufactured goods with a 40% chance none
Added new Food, Aid, Chems, Bar Stuff, and Decorative Stuff Groups
Changed the recycle filter to use the object type keywords for better control and hopefully less items quest/do not sell items being caught
This requires Venpi Core v1.0.9+
Version 1.0.2
Added some group rules using form lists that users can expand if they want to.
Dropped max item counts on the fallback rules and gave them a chance none of 25%
Version 1.0.1
Added a few direct map conversions for testing: Vacuum Tape -> 0-4 Adhesive & Fiber; and Eggmund Desk Assistant -> 0-4 Copper, Gold, and 0-2 Isocentered Magnet
Added back the inventory filter registration, it is actually used somehow. Not having its defined breaks, the container events after long delay. /facepalm
Version 1.0.0
Initial Release
Overview Venworks Junk Recycler will break down your old armor, weapons, clothing, books, and junk from your exploration and give you usable resources at any workbench in the game.
We want this to be an option for players that do not like the outpost mining mess and need a way to get the resources you can't from pure exploration.
Venworks Discord Community
I've created a new discord community (Venworks Discord Community) for all my mods, modding research, mod support. I'll continue to post my mods here, but notifications and usage of the bugs and comments has become harder or flat do not work with recent Nexus updates. So, for discussion and reporting of bugs please use the Venworks Discord.
Known issues
On an existing xbox save the game will not process new autostart quests 100% of the time. As a workaround, the pharma bench has a new item "Fix Junk Recycler" for 1 credit. Building and using this item will add the activator perk to the player.
Usage
Recycling Items Aim at the workbench you should see a new option recycle
Press the bound key (see below) for recycle.
Transfer/Deposit the items you want to recycle into it.
The broken-down materials are immediately transferred to your inventory.
Keybinds (PC)
Default is R but sometimes shifts to space
Keybinds (Console/PC Gamepad)
Default is X but sometimes Y to space
Fix Junk Recycler Item Occasionally on new NGP universe and on xbox the activator perk doesn't relink, when this happens use the "Fix Junk Recycler" that you can craft at the pharma bench for 1 credit.
Modifying the rules New instructions are coming due to not being able to use RTFP with consoles. Currently the keywords are mapped in an init quest with a fallback of random return.
Compatibility Below are Creations we have known compatibility problems with and workarounds if we have them.
Workbench Filter Framework (WFF), please load Junk Recycler after WFF in the load order
