Starfield introduced the widespread use of conditional outfit change (Non-breathable area = put on spacesuit and helmet). This mechanic was explored in my UC Vanguard Helmet With Movaeble Visor. Thanks to modders like JustAnOrdinaryGuy and LarannKiar, the conditions can now be extended and fine-tuned. This is a demo of utilising the mod-expanded functionalities to create dynamic outfits that change depending on the combat status, etc. The demo only showcases the active helmet, but this can be expanded to the spacesuit if there's an alternate suit model.

You can obviously manually toggle the visor/outfit via hotkeys if you carry around two helmets/outfits of different configurations. Still, you'll use up to four precious hotkeys, and your changes will not apply to your companion(s).

I hope we'll see more outfits that transform between combat and non-combat states, like the Iron Man Suit with a tiltable face plate, dynamic armour plates, and thruster effects.

TECHNICAL NOTE:
This mod utilises the game clothing mechanic, which removes the hat and apparel when a character puts on the helmet and spacesuit.

The main file contains a visor-up version of the helmet that utilises the hat slot and a spacesuit that uses the apparel slot. The male helmet hat replaces Amanirenas' Hat, whereas the female helmet hat replaces Genghis Khan's Hat. The spacesuit apparel for both genders replaces the operative suit (stealth suit).

Using a mod that can hide spacesuits in customisable conditions, such as JustAnOrdinaryGuy's Hide Spacesuit in Breathable Areas (HSIBA) or LarannKiar's Auto Spacesuit Hider - Custom Conditionalizer - Vanilla Bug Fixes - SFSE, it is now possible to change the clothing and helmet configurations in other conditions such as combat status, zero-G, etc. My setup was tested primarily on HSIBA because it has been out for longer, but LarannKiar's mod seems to have more customisable functionalities. HSIBA can show the spacesuit when the weapon is drawn, but LarrannKiar's mod also has options to display the spacesuit when the enemy is nearby and in combat.

HOW TO SET UP:
- Download either Hide Spacesuit in Breathable Areas or Auto Spacesuit Hider - Custom Conditionalizer - Vanilla Bug Fixes - SFSE
- Customise the mod that you've downloaded. Choose "Show spacesuit" for the conditions you want the visor down, and vice versa. This is my setup for HSIBA: Show suit when a weapon is drawn,  show suit when in settlements, hide suit in breathable areas (don't show on cold planets).
- Make sure you download the correct file for the gender of your player character or companion(s). If you're downloading both, the files share the helmet geometries; overwrite one or the other when Vortex detects the conflicts (load before or after, it doesn't matter).
- For female characters, g
et the Genghis Khan's hat using the console command: player.additem 001D8426 1
- For male characters, get the Amanirenas' Hat using the console command: player.additem 001E426E 1
- Get the operative suit using the console command: player.additem 0018B54A 1

- Wear the hat and the outfit.
- Wear your Vanguard Spacesuit. Select "Hide spacesuit in settlements".
- Wear your UC Vanguard Helmet. Select "Show helmet in breathable areas".
- Wear your Vanguard boost pack.

- Done! The visor should drop down whenever you take out your weapon or in non-breathable areas.
- For companions, equip them with the hat, helmet, apparel and spacesuit, and they should transition well between breathable and non-breathable areas. For extra conditions like the weapon-drawn function, you can try Linked Companion Spacesuit, but I haven't tested this.

LIMITATIONS:
- The morph functions don't work. Keep the body shape/weight neutral.

INSTALLATION:
