About this mod

Gives Vladimir over 250,000 credits to buy your surveys. No more waiting a dozen times for credits to reset!

Like it says on the tin!  A simple mod to give Vladimir more credits, because I am really fucking sick of having to wait in the chair at the Lodge or the Eye a dozen times to sell all my planet surveys.   Several of the "more credits" mods I could find don't seem to affect Vladimir,  one that did only gave him a little bit more, and the rich merchants mod gives every vendor in the game the same credits, which makes zero sense to me.  Why does some civilian outpost in Bumfuck have the same 5 mil the Trade Authority keeps on hand?

Right now, Vlad's got 262,000 credits but I can increase that number on request.

FAQ:

But, but, console commands!

Please don't leave me comments that assume I must not know how to use console commands; it's not helpful.  It's also non-immersive as all hell.  I'm not interested in opening the console, minimizing my game to check what to type in, etc.   If you're about to download this mod only because you didn't know you can do it via console, then here you go:  Go up to Vladimir, or any other vendor who is apparently broke as fuck, and open the console.  Target Vlad with your cursor, and type "additem F 250000" to give him 250,000 credits -- or you can use any number.   This is adding the credits directly into his inventory; he won't have the 250k every time his credits refresh.

But, but, richer merchants mod!

Again, if you're here because you didn't know this exists, here you go:  https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/1143
For myself, from an immersion standpoint it makes no sense whatsoever to give every merchant in the game the same credits (or rather, the same % increase).   It's a great mod, but it is NOT an immersive mod.

But, but, immersion!

Vladimir's already rich from his pirate days; have you SEEN his house?  Even if he weren't, Constellation as a whole is funded by Walter Stroud, so there's just no reason for Vlad to not have enough credits available to buy a round of surveys.

I'm considering giving Phil Hill some extra cash as well.  He's funded by LIST, which is not exactly the wealthiest organization in the game, but considering the entire operation would cease to exist without data on habitable planets, they can probably cough up more than he's currently got.  Not the kind of cash that Constellation can draw on, but he ought to have enough to buy more than one or two surveys.  Habitable planets with lots of flora and fauna yield more valuable survey data.

Thing is, if you're using this mod and not the Richer Merchants mod, you've got a reason, and the only reason I can think of is immersion.  While it's easy enough to toss extra credits at any vendor in the game, I'd like to keep it to the ones that realistically should not be as broke-ass as they are.  Trade Authority is another with just no excuse to turn you away due to lack of funds.
