I must be the only one having issues with the blender. I can place everything else just fine (and your mod is great, love the couches) but the blender shows a loading symbol when I select it in the build menu and never shows up as placeable.
One thing to note is I am trying to place it in my ship, without mods allowing me to do it. I placed the editor button into the ship myself.
I'm having the same problem in my house, I made the house with B.A.S.E. and the kitchen has E.M.O.O. counters and furniture. Love the couches and screens
Just so weird that bethesda created tons of high quality assets but choose not to let the player use them, the outpost building could go from mediocre to very good if they just added every single object/building assets to the outpost building
But I guess modders will do it before they do anything
As a modder I am thankful. I much rather add in my own. For example what if I wanted to refine the building system and add in snapping or scaling? then I have to go and edit some thousand base game objects. thanks but no thanks.
Much better to let us do the frameworks and then have other modders fill in.
Because the outpost system is heavy and if you build too many things the entire game lags. It was the same in Fallout 4. Doesn't matter the size of the thing either, big storage container or tiny decoration, they all count as one object. So they restrict the number and variety of things you can build to cut down on this. You can easily remove the build restrictions in the .ini files, but if you create an Elianora-level clutterfest, your game WILL start to stutter and lag even on the other side of the galaxy, and it will get worse the longer you play. Why didn't they just make a bigger better system since FO4? I dunno, I'm not a coder. But I bet Microsoft wanting this thing to run on their budget Xbox has at least something to do with it. :P
Some more objects (with IDs) we would love to be added to the build system> https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1uIsv-1ucYsKue3V9XeA-AkuOoBrp4F6V60xCB3NMXlQ/edit#gid=0 https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1a8NCzu8R_GD5trinlEQDSQgAiJS_e6VvoEywKvYOyhk/edit#gid=0
We have many chairs and tables already in builder. Likewise, we don't need 50 different plants and flower in 30 types of planters.
I really love people focusing on things that are really missing.
Walls, bathroom blocks and showers, stairs, outpost fences, etc
Also keep in mind that just a single item if it is snapping can take 20-30 minutes - after you get the hang of the workflow! Stuff like chairs and couches that need to trigger player sitting animation I haven't tried but they may be a mess as well.
Some items are just fakes and unusable, unfinished models and such. Like "walls" that have just one side as a front (it's more a paper mask than a wall).
Well, sure, but for purposes of outpost building it's not suitable, that's what I mean. Many items are no good for adding to builder unless you tell people "add them just so that you can't see other side". I have stairs like that too, go under them and - transparent. So only good for some places
