I hate the idea of weapon qualities. A gun doesn't level up. You can't change my mind, even if the game is an "RPG". Big air quotes. I also hate the idea of a literal fucking firearm, a for realzies gun, a pistol... doing like 10 damage. Sidearm or not, you ever been shot? Ever been shot even by a .22? A tiny baby round? I haven't either and I hope it stays that way, you can absolutely die. "Guns kill ppl" mk? They hurt, a lot, so I made a mod that plays real life.

The weapon qualities, advanced, superior, etc etc, fuck all that, fuck that shit to hell, in the ass. I hate that. I got rid of it, I know I'm not alone in not liking the feature. Might bring it back in the future but without bonus damage, maybe instead bonus accuracy or firerate or smtn idk. I literally took them off of each weapon, weapons will not spawn with qualities anymore as they cannot. This works as a pseudo patch for bugged weapons that do a bunch of damage if you use certain mods, such as my other mod Any Mod Any Weapon vTZv https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/6139?tab=description. This stops the big damage on pre existing weapons.

This mod ALSO alters every weapon (minus melees) and buffs... every? I think every? Except maybe one or two that already had decent damage? Either way it buffs every weapon whether it is mag size, firerate, range, damage, sometimes all of these, and brings every weapon up to a standard. Each weapon type has a bracket based on what makes sense somewhat. Hard Target is a big sniper and it shoots big rounds at little fellas, shit does like 10x damage or something on crit and does almost 400 base damage, think maybe 325? 345? A lot. You get shot in the head by a .50 sniper, you finna die cuh. BUT, the MagSniper outclasses it, with a twist, the MS is a charge weapon now, and does almost double the Hard Target damage, but must charge for around 2 seconds before firing full damage, the shit looks like a railgun, cmon, Shelly.

Shotguns are the sniper equivalent but only up close... ish. Shotguns irl really don't lack the range like video games make them seem, a slug round irl can fucking snipe people, you can literally put a scope on a shotgun and people will laugh... but wanna shoot it cause they know deep down you aren't in the wrong. Now see, buckshot though spreads. Spreads the little seeds of death. All over. The seeds all over you. In your mouth. Killing you. Shotguns have a reasonable range, but the spread is the main problem with them, and I saw it as reasonable to not touch the spread of shotguns and be ok with increasing the range of some. I made some shotguns unique like the Old Earth Shotgun (renamed to its real life counterpart the Ithaca Model 37 (M37 ingame)) CAN or.. used to be able to pre 1970's, legally at least, "slam fire". Slam firing a shotty is when you can hold the trigger down and keep slamming the pump back repeatedly after chambering a new shell and it will essentially fire in semi auto, full auto if you are fast enough. The Old Earth Shotgun has a fast firerate and decent damage, standard damage compared to the other shotguns for the most part, decent range, nothing necessarily special other than its the best shotgun cause its the coolest one, and it now fires pretty fucking fast. The "Shotty" now has the lowest base damage of the shotguns but fires full auto and a shorter range than most other shotguns, the Big Bang is now a BFG, up close at least, and does 0 damage when out of range, so its essentially the Thundergun or something like that. Its a boop cannon, Taken Phalanxes? Anyone?

Pistols generally are all pretty standard, least damage of most weapons, its a sidearm, its not gonna do a ton of damage. BUT it can still kill you, quickly too, so all of them have increased damage up to like 5x in some cases. The Eon for example DID 10 base damage, now I think I have it set to like 30? Every weapon can be used to full extent. Everything still scales with perks (which is another upcoming project *wink wink*) and all that shit too so, if you wanna spec into pistols, you can now. Also magnums are a thing, not rubbers, actual magnums that don't fire blanks you 2 inch boi. The Razorback does like a lot of damage, the Regulator does a bunch of damage too but fires fucking fast and by a bunch of fucking damage I mean less than the Razorback but more than most pistols, shit, more than a lot of rifles. Was inspired by The Last Word exotic from Destiny. The Razorback though is a magnum, it does a lot of damage now you'll see. The Magshot now is a charge weapon to counter the Razorback, like the Hard Target MagSniper idea, same thing.

The Vintorez btw IS an assault rifle, so I made it a cross between an AR and a sniper, as it is irl. By Vintorez I mean the Old World Sniper or Hunting Rifle or whatever they called it. Its a Vintorez. It does a lot of damage but only slightly higher than most ARs. Full auto. It shreds. As it do irl, boi.

The Cutter is literally a beam tool, it fires a fucking beam and has infinite recharging battery. An infinite fucking laser beam. That sounds dangerous. Sounds like it could... perhaps... kill someone? I buffed the Cutter. Infinite range, slower battery drain, faster recharge but longer delay, 10 base damage up from 4, buncha cool shit. You're welcome. You can now cheese everything with it if you want. Though enemies will fuck you up if you REALLY try going around with the thing. Notable weapons: Cutter, Microgun, Big Bang, Hard Target, MagSniper, Razorback, Coachman, M37, VSS Vintorez, Grendel, Va Ruun guns. VR guns btw have no damage fall off and do a lot of damage still, mag size and firerate nerfs.

Also this equalizes the damage between semi, burst, and full auto. Did you know that changing a weapon's firing mode changes the type of weapon and caliber it fires? I definitely didn't know that. Oh wait, someone just told me that that is wrong? No not wrong? Total bullshit? Oh huh, guess it is total bullshit and not true after all.

BUGS: xEdit currently only lets you override certain things, getting these was already a pain in the ass. The Rivet, Arc Welder, Novablast Disruptor, and uh... something else, maybe 2 things? Are still vanilla. You will find them with quality tiers as well as normal damage. They are generally shit anyways so you won't be using them, won't miss much, but to the 2 of you out there that main the Rivet gun, sorry, will update the mod when I can to include them. Also no melee weapons were edited cause the same reason. I CAN edit the Tanto and katana but only like those two, I wouldn't wanna shift the melee meta, if it exists, too far by only including those two. Future update will buff melee weapons to do a fuck ton of damage for having to get up close. Also last time I checked, getting stabbed by a sword, or slashed across the face by a knife, will be more devastating than getting shot once or twice... most people survive being shot, just saying.
