Personally, I found the negative affinity triggers seemingly random and nonsensical. They started driving me to play in a way I didn't want to play. So, I got rid of it.
Companions will still have dialogue for things they dislike. They will still become angry with you for extreme things like murdering civilians. But they will not have Affinity points drop when you do something they dislike.
FOMOD contains two versions: one version changes the "disliked" and "hated" text strings to something a little less threatening, and the other version does not change any text strings.
Use Nukem's Plugins loader.
