I have been making Reshades for myself for nearly every game I play. Starfield, in my opinion, needed a true color correction and a little more sharpening than what is available in game.

This Reshade preset gives sharpness and light ambience through the use of addition bloom. Tested on several of the popular LUTs mods available and confirmed to be visually pleasing in all cases.

If you do not want to use any kind of LUT mod, try my original Star-Lite Reshade. Color correction is adjusted through that Reshade.

2.5 UPDATE - Now available! NOT fully compatible with LUMA. Please do not use together at this time!!!

NO OVER SHARPENING.  Colors will not be drastically changed. Bloom is carefully set so light sources and reflections have a little boost and even provide a slight ambience to the scene. I noticed a decrease of up to 5 FPS with my game set at Ultra, Film Grain set at 35, and no FSR/CAS/DLSS

Stellar LUT is used in all screenshots.

STARPUNK Reshade utilizes:

1. MagicBloom.fx
2. LocalContrastCS.fx
3. CAS.fx
4. PD80_04_Color_Temperature.fx

If using FSR/CAS or DLSS in game settings, sharpening used in this Reshade may be to powerful. If you feel there is too much sharpening, adjust the strength of CAS.fx or disable it.

LocalContrastCS.fx is new and sharpens darker areas. This even means cracks and black lines. Sometimes this effect can make things appear too sharp on the edges. If that is the case just adjust the "Strength" to your liking.

Not enough or too much Bloom, adjust the "Intensity" in the MagicBloom.fx to your liking. Some of the white HUD may appear too bloomy. I suggest adjusting the "Opacity" under the game interface settings. ALSO, be sure to reduce your games bloom setting in the StarfieldCustom.ini - fNewBloomAmountScale=0.20 - this is what I use with Quick Star Menu so you don't get blasted by the health statement!

All you must do is download the latest Reshade. Follow these steps:

1. Select Starfield game when asked.

2. Select DirectX 10/11/12.

3. It will ask for a preset. Just SKIP.

4. It will ask for effects packages to install. At the top right, select UNCHECK ALL. Then click CHECK ALL.
- At this point, all the effects should be selected. It will not hurt or change anything in my preset.

5. Next will install everything. Now you have to manually download this mods .INI and place directly into your Starfield folder right next to the Starfield.exe

6. PLAY Game

To open the Reshade editor, press HOME. Follow the short tutorial if you are not familiar with Reshade. Setup your preferred hotkeys for screen captures and toggle effect. You can edit the keys under the settings tabs. Be sure to enable the performance mode once you are satisfied.

ENJOY THE MOD! Please endorse if you enjoy.

Special thanks to Rudy and his amazing ENBs and Reshades. Studying and adapting them for myself then sharing my results is all due to him.

Thanks to the makers of all the .fx I have used. Of course, thanks to the makers of Reshade itself.
