So, as I was thinking about what to mod in next for Starfield, I went down a road of intrusive thoughts. "Wow, the big bang shotgun has a cool reload animation, it's like those meme gameboy reloading videos" "Hm, maybe I could change the cartridge to a video game one and have it play some sfx!" "Do I go for the obvious choices? Like the gameboy startup or maybe mario on NES?" "That's a bit random, it has nothing to do with space, and why would people be using those games as ammo?" Then it hit me There's one game that's space themed that has so many broken copies you could (if you think about it but not too hard) potentially see humanity using it as an energy weapon ammo resource rather than it's intended use. ET for the Atari 2600, widely regarded as one of the worst games ever with over a thousand copies found in one landfill.
I might make a full NES style retexture of Big Boom with sounds in the future but for now enjoy this:
