About this mod

The fair damage modifier which will brighten up your combat experience.

Permissions and credits

This mod changes the damage the way so that all the non-playable characters and the player were dealing and taking the same amount of damage no matter the difficulty.

(Honestly, this is an edited version of agd25's "Simple Difficulty Tweaks" mod, just in a slightly different way.)

Difficulties described

Version 1.0:
Spoiler:
Show

Very Easy: everyone takes x1 damage (basically vanilla values);
Easy: everyone takes x2 damage;
Normal: everyone takes x3 damage;
Hard: everyone takes x4 damage;
Very Hard: everyone takes x5 damage.
NPCs don't get bonus health per level (default is 20) while the player gets default health bonus per level (20)

Version 2.0:
Spoiler:
Show

Very Easy: everyone takes x1 damage (basically vanilla values);
Easy: everyone takes x1.5 damage;
Normal: everyone takes x2 damage;
Hard: everyone takes x2.5 damage;
Very Hard: everyone takes x3 damage.
NPCs get bonus 5 health per level (default is 20) while the player gets 5 health bonus per level (default is 20)

Which one is the best?

Yet I've personally played with x3 damage and I got to say it is enough (for now, at least) to force the player to think about the combat tactics and saving med kits. It really makes the combat more interesting when you can kill or get killed just in a second. Higher values might still be fine, but the spaceships will be getting destroyed too fast.

How to install?

The same way you install similar mods which activate .txt file in console on the game launch:

1) Make sure you have StarfieldCustom.ini file in the Documents\My Games\Starfield folder.

If you already have StarfieldCustom.ini file, you only need to add the specific line in the [General] section. I uploaded my StarfieldCustom.ini here in optional files because Nexus doesn't want the line to display here on the site properly.
But if you don't have this file at all, you can just download my own StarfieldCustom.ini from optional files here and put it in Documents\My Games\Starfield folder.

2) Put the OffTheStage.txt in the game folder (where Starfield.exe is).

Any additional mods?

I would suggest to use this mod along with Improved Combat AI by Ixion XVII.
