About this mod

Improves visibility of scopes while sticking close to vanilla assets

What is This?
Better Scopes is a simple mod designed to improve readability of weapon scopes while sticking as close to the vanilla textures as possible. It's also my first mod for a Bethesda game, so it was meant to help me learn to deal with the archaic .swf HUD files. Should be fully ultrawide compatible as I tested on my 3440x1440 monitor, but if anyone has an issue please let me know via a comment or bug report and I will release updates.

SEP 14: I have implemented a fix for the 16:9 monitor users! Please let me know if this does not work for 16:10 and 32:9 users
SEP 14 (again): I have implemented a FOMOD installer (and given it MO2 and Vortex compatibility). Because of course they work differently.

Installation
1. Select the folder that matches your aspect ratio (either 16:9 / 16:10 or 21:9 / 32:9)
2. Extract the Interface folder into your Starfield Data folder
3. Add the following lines to StarfieldCustom.ini (or follow this guide):
[Archive]
bInvalidateOlderFiles=1
sResourceDataDirsFinal=

Uninstallation
Simply delete scopemenu.swf from the Interface folder (while the game is not running).

A Request
If anyone reads this and is good with editing Bethesda HUD files, either in Flash CS6 or JPEXS, please reach out to me. I'm trying to improve my skills to take on bigger mods down the road and could use some guidance.
