About this mod

If you are sick of fumbling your buttons while trying to fly and manage your power at the same time, this is what you have been looking for!

BY THE WAY, PSA - You can fully drain or fully power a subsystem, just by holding the increase / decrease power key, as opposed to mashing it.

Hi all,

Yet another little tweak I've been using lately.

If this is some late game ability I don't know about, my bad. Despite all my time in this game, I'm actually very early in the story still.

I was just personally gobsmacked that there was no option to slow down time to sort out power management, something like Rebel Galaxy Outlaw. Well, now there is.

Feel free to tune the value to your liking.

The commands:

Enables the changes:

SetGS bSpaceshipPowerAllocSlowsTime 1

Slowdown period length when power is interacted with:
SetGS fSpaceshipPowerAllocTimeSlowDuration 0.65

Removes a currently active image space modifier, the one in question being the blur that occurs during slowmo:
rimod 002EDE71

Note:
The above is the fix provided by treestand, as it removes the blur effect when it is saved into your file, which seems to be caused by saving / quitting the game while the slow-mo effect is active.

How to use blurred-screen fix:

If you are affected by this issue, please open the console and type "bat SlowmoPowerAlloc" (or whatever your .txt file is named) after loading your save, and the screen will be cleared. To avoid the issue in the future, don't save / quit the game from the pilot seat with this tweak in place.

Installation is the same as ever.

Commands in copyable format (Put them in your launch command .txt file, if you already have one):

SetGS bSpaceshipPowerAllocSlowsTime 1
SetGS fSpaceshipPowerAllocTimeSlowDuration 0.65
rimod 002EDE71

Installation:

Put the .txt ("SlowmoPowerAlloc.txt") file in your game directory (steamapps/common/Starfield).

Then, add:

[General]
sStartingConsoleCommand=bat SlowmoPowerAlloc

To your StarfieldCustom.ini (Documents\My Games\Starfield)

Note:
If you already have another .txt file launching with "sStartingConsoleCommand=bat" From your StarfieldCustom.ini, simply add the lines from "SlowmoPowerAlloc.txt" to your existing .txt file.

Thanks so much for each and every endorsement, I know how much effort that is for a little commandline tweak!
