What does this do? All procedurally generated buildings, enemies, and objects that are put in the world when you land on a planet no longer exist. It doesn't touch handcrafted locations. It also doesn't mess with outposts that show up on the planet map. This only removes unmarked locations and objects.
Any procedural locations you've already discovered will still be there, granted you have a landing zone near them.
Why? One of my biggest complaints with this game is that no matter where I land on a planet, there is always human activity not far from me. I want to land on a planet and feel like I'm the first one to do it - and this mod does that.
How? It's a very very simple ini edit.
To re-enable the procedurally generated stuff, change the 0 in the file to a 1
Any downsides? Yes. It also removes all fauna and creatures :( Flora is still there but with this enabled you will be the only living thing on the planet. Once I figure out how to remove the procedurally generated buildings and enemies but keep fauna, I will upload that mod.
