Another great mod from you. So impressed at the number of quality mods you've made, all whilst maintaining a Collections list. Thanks for all your work.
Thank you, ElJEFE, your AI mod honestly saved the game for me 😊 I can’t imagine playing without your AI NPC overhaul, total respect, man. Appreciate the kind words !!
Is this mod suppose to show up in Vortex Load order or in the in game creations menu load order? I got this one and the other required mods for it, didn't see any of them in vortex load order or in game menu, launched and nothing has changed. All systems are still vanilla. Any idea what I'm missing in a setting or something?
No, this mod uses loose files and works with SFSE and CCR (Console Command Runner). It won’t show up in the Vortex plugin load order or in the in-game Creations menu. Make sure to launch the game using the SFSE loader, not the regular Starfield.exe or Steam Play button, otherwise, the mod won’t activate.
That's actually an incredibly dumb take. you can accomplish the same thing in 100 different ways. I still have some mods made 2 years ago, long since abandoned, that will likely always be stable because of how the mod works.
People make mods at all sorts of levels of experience and backgrounds and it's not always done in a way that's inherently iteratively improved upon previous mods. Asking what's different about one thing especially when there is a novel dependency can be super important depending on the compatibility those things have with an individual's load order.
Not trying to throw shade at you. Im glad you're just out here vibin, but if someone is asking how a mod is different than another one, just don't take that as a point of criticism or insult against the author. It can be an important question my dude.
The Larger Systems mod is a Script Extender plugin (.DLL) which doesn't work in the most recent version of Starfield, AFAIK. This newer mod usses CCR(U) to run some console commands that accomplish apparently the same thing. You could also set the game settings in an ESM using the Creation Kit, or probably just type the commands into the console when you play the game, however I'm not sure if the settings would be saved or not. So yeah, there are many ways to accomplish this, but using CCRU is probably the easiest way, especially if you already have it for other mods.
The mod was made mostly because of a request I happened to see, and yeah, it’s useful. It’s just a simple CCR mod (a few lines of code), nothing fancy. I really don’t plan on comparing it or listing differences from others. It's for those who want something like this, take it or leave it 🙂
Going to watch the mod for now. The main difference between the mods, from what I can see is that this mod simply resizes the star on the map. where the other mod did that, but also adjusted all the obits of the planets to a more reasonable scale along with the change. Its a bit weird to have the huge gap between the star and the first planet in every single star system. So when you can adjust all the planet orbits to a more natural one, then I will jump on the mod. So for now its a wait and see what the mod author can do.
Not sure if it's up your wheel house, but the thing that would give this an absolute cherry of a feature is to allow seamless zooming and out of the different bodies without being forced to go into "inspect mode" and if want to scan a different planet, removing the forced zoom out before zooming back in thing.
I was able to adjust the amount you can zoom out and in on planetary bodies without being forced into scan mode myself by changing some of the lines in the ini using bethini, but it isn't perfect and the sensitivity gets out of whack when you zoom out a bit from the satellites. Requires changing a lot more of the ini lines than I know what im doing with to be polished.

uh.
Any complimentary mod that makes the starmap icons smaller? I feel blanketed in giant "Sensor Contact" icons...
Larger Systems
other than Larger Systems has seemingly been abandoned.
Asking since your mod requires CCRU, while Larger Systems did not.
