Buildings! Replaces the lame man made structures with super awesome GRiNDTerra made structures! They are designed off of the Vanilla buildings to help integrate better with POI and adds a better touch of my mersions. Want encounters/NPCs/random people in them? Download Peoples! a Buildings! Tired of seeing random solar panels powering windmills? Bored of coming across a vanilla “structure” with the obligatory chest just full of goodies? Yearning to see structures that you could actually go inside?

Buildings! Is my second Stand Alone Expansion for GRiNDTerra Planetary Procedural Generation. It has no requirements, not even the main mod!

What does this do EXACTLY?
Changes the distance buildings and clutter spawn from POI. (Vanilla 50-250) (Now 25-150)
Removes most Vanilla PCM Man Made “Structures” (not clutter) and replaces them with vanilla inspired GRiNDTerra buildings and clutter.
Makes edits to the clutter left in by removing all the loot chests since there are new avenues of looting available in the world, and a few touch ups here and there for better use as cover.
Changes some distance rules for remaining vanilla structures and clutter.
Load after main PPG mod. The distances are slightly different.


What makes GRiNDTerra Buildings different?
These are actual buildings you can enter, loot, and are designed to be as vanilla as possible. The buildings block environmental effects, have working doors, and NPCs can move and interact inside them. They are fully Nav Meshed by hand. Note this is separate, different style, and not intended to be used with my Grindfield mods. (But if you so wish they are technically compatible) While these will be filled out and detailed, keep in mind for performance reasons as well these are not as detailed as a POI building. As these are not actually POI but designed to just be for flavor.

Is it possible for there to be NPCs inside? 
ONLY if you download the optional file Peoples! a Buildings! Expansion Pack
I purposefully kept them separate for personal taste. Peoples! requires Buildings! 
Load Peoples! After Buildings! (Which both should load after main PPG mod)

What's the third file called Sandbox Patch?
It is a completely Standalone no requirement small master mod! (I recommend loading near top of your list)
I have made changes to the default sandboxing behavior to help NPCs seem more lively. I decided to make this a small master "patch" for maximum compatibility and in case people don't want such a serious change and isnt a big enough change to warrant its own modpage. 

It changes the default radius and height that NPCs will search for sandboxing activities to 51m.
Changes to the NPCs "Sandbox Energy" removed all negative multipliers. This helps them be more active.
Reduced Time Multipliers on sandbox activities to take into account mods that designate their own time.

Say what… you released an expansion pack to an expansion on release?
Yes, Peoples! a Buildings Expansion Pack includes several different variations of every building that spawn with NPCs already inside! (Or maybe outside who knows) To These NPCs will sandbox and perform several different activities when left uninterrupted. This is a seperate module because this can cause some interesting chaos, and there may be some performance hits if you get lucky and roll a lot of NPCs active at the same time. Not every building will spawn with NPCs as there are some RNG limitations put in place.

But I don’t care just give me the loot!
They use special handmade loot lists with a 75% chance that each piece of loot isn’t there. Highly recommend my Economy Mod as they will work together perfectly for a more hardcore looting experience. With such a high chance to have nothing it makes entering and looting every building a different experience, even if it is the same building! 


Compatibility
There is only one mod out there doing the same thing and it is The Grindfield. While technically compatible not recommended. This does NOT AFFECT POI and is compatible with all POI and Proc Gen Mods! 


Known Buildings! Issues: These will be fixed as soon as I possibly can if I can.

1. LOD- It took over six months, many many wasted hours, rage quitting, acceptance, and confirmation from some members of the community it is just not possible to LOD these yet, please prove me wrong. Seriously I will make you a monument and immortalize you in my mod forever.

2. This mod uses some actual procedurally generated buildings and clutter. Some of these pieces may not spawn the whole item only pieces so you may see a floating thing or two.

3. Because they are randomly placed it is possible for buildings to clip with terrain.

Known Peoples! Issues:

FOR BEST PRACTICE AND TO HELP MINIMIZE AMOUNT OF ISSUES PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

Slowly approach POIs and take your time exploring. It is best to NOT LEAVE AND COME BACK ON FOOT REPEATEDLY! Do what you came to do at the POI and then leave. 95% of the issues with the encounters mod is because the building de spawns when you are a certain distance away from it causing much confusion to the inhabitants. I AM TRYING MY HARDEST TO FIX THIS! But I don’t know if it is possible at the moment.


1. When the buildings spawn with NPCs sometimes the NPCs will spawn out of place. They will move back into their building and rejoin their lives. I cannot fix them being placed exactly how they are supposed to, but they will do what they are supposed to and return to sandbox. If the NPC got placed under a building it usually takes under 10 seconds for it to find its way out and return back to the world.

2.When the buildings “de spawn” or get culled because you moved away from them it will cause issues with the AI. When their home disappears they are left standing around not knowing what to, or they may just randomly piss off and migrate somewhere else. 

3.There is a limit in Vanilla Starfield on how many NPCs can be active at one time. This will make the AI appear brain dead until other NPCs vanish or are murdered. 

4. It is quite possible to gather a raging NPC army chasing you around. This can affect performance. 

5.Because this relies heavily on the Proc Gen, it is possible things to spawn clipping into terrain or each other. If NPCs spawn in a building with its doors blocked, they usually will either stay in it forever or teleport outside. 

DLC Patch When? 
When all DLC has been released or announced and it will be an all in one.
