About this mod
Adds a new spacesuit: The DSM Protectorate Armor. Also adds 6 new weapons. All weapons require the new spacesuit equipped with a specific mod enabled on the suit.

This mod adds 1 new spacesuit and 6 new weapons.
The DSM Protectorate Armor is a new type of armor not seen before in the game. This armor features a special mod slot which offers 3 different enhancements:
1) Vortex Plating: this increases resistance, movespeed, and starpower. It also visually adds leg plates and gauntlets to the armor.
2) Heavy Plating: this increases resistance, decreases damage done by 20%, and enables the use of the new Protectorate weapons. It also visually adds chest plating and large angular shoulder plates to the armor.
3) Protectorate Plating: this mod includes all bonuses of the first 2 and combines the visual looks as well.
The armor can be crafted at the DSM Armor Enhancement workbench. The base armor you'll need to craft it is Starborn Tenebris.
This mod introduces 4 new weapons. Each weapon can only be used if you are wearing DSM Protectorate Armor with either the Heavy Plating or Protectorate Plating mod attached. Without the new armor, these weapons will register as having no ammo. Wearing the armor allows these weapons to recharge their ammo automatically similar to the laser cutter.
The Darkstar Protectorate Beam Cannon is a new weapon based on the Va'ruun Starstorm. The projectile however is a continuous beam of energy. New in version 1.2: any enemy killed by a crit from this weapon will burn up into a pile of ash. The ashpile is lootable. Known defect: the non-lootable armor the enemy was wearing will appear in the ashpile.
The Darkstar Protectorate Gravity Cannon is a new weapon based on the Va'ruun Penumbra. Instead of a rocket, it fires a white beam of energy which travels extremely fast (not a hitscan weapon, but close). The beam causes an explosion and the creation of a Gravity Well to form at the point of impact.
The Protectorate CryoShot is a pistol based on the MagShot. It fires a beam which generates a Cryo explosion on impact freezing and slowing all enemies caught within the blast. This blast will only affect those who are hostile to the player. Thus, civilians, allies, and the player will be unaffected.
The Protectorate Repulsor is a rifle based on the Novablast. It fires a continuous pulse wave which pushes objects and people away from the player with great force. The rifle fires in a cone in front of the player which penetrates through walls. It does little damage on its own and is meant for utility (or amusement).
The Protectorate Obliterator is a sniper rifle based on the MagSniper. It fires a blast of immense power. Any enemy killed by a critical hit from this weapon will be atomized and turned into a pile of ash. The effect will appear similar to when a Starborn is killed. The ashpile is lootable. Known defect: the non-lootable armor the enemy was wearing will appear in the ashpile.
The Protectorate Melter is a beam weapon based on the Breach. It files a continuous beam of energy much like the Beam Cannon. It has a very high crit rate. Any enemy killed by a crit from this weapon will be melted and leave behind skeletal remains labelled "Former Human". These remains are lootable. Known defect: the non-lootable armor the enemy was wearing will appear in the "Former Human" remains.
All weapons are crafted at the DSM Weapon Enhancement workbench. The Beam Cannon requires a Va'ruun Starstorm as its base weapon and the Gravity Cannon requires a Va'ruun Penumbra as its base weapon.
