Back when the game was new, a lot of us became obsessed with collecting everything in the Starfield universe and shipping it all back to a home base. Unfortunately, the allure wore off when we confronted the Cargo Link limitations and most moved on.
I’ve stayed with it and have done a number of videos on using Mods to build factories that mass produce various Hard Goods, Ammo, and Meds and Chems. (youtube,com/@willny4). But I have come up against an obstacle in my obsession: there are two Unique minerals in the game, Aqueous Hematite (Aq) and Caelumite (Ct), that have to be mined by hand and don’t have extractors so they can’t be part of a production line.
This mod solves that problem by enabling you to mine Aqueous Hematite and Caelumite. Since I don’t have the skill to build new extractors, I had to glom onto other extractors to get this to work. Using a mod published last December, Extract or Mine Everything, as a model and, with the author's permission, I have deconstructed his mod so we can now mine our two elusive minerals. Each mineral mod has its own .esm file and they will work together. I also increased the production rates and reduced the required distance between extractors.
Aqueous Hematite is usually found in lead deposits on Mars but I found a larger lode on Katydid III and used Indicite as its host. Go to Katydid III, find a vein of Indicite, choose Indicite in the Extractor Menu and then choose Aqueous Hematite from the dropdown. Place the extractor and you will mine Aqueous Hematite amd Indicite. Combine Aq with Membrane and Metabolic Agent and you can make Pick-Me-Up (value 450).
For Caelumite, I've found a lode conveniently on Katydid I-a which has a gravitational anomaly. It is found with Ytterbium. Find a vein of Ytterbium, choose Ytterbium in the Extractor Menu and then choose Caelumite from the dropdown. Place the extractor and you will mine Caelumite and Ytterbium. Ct is the most valuable single resource in Starfield (value= 264). It is also used in Helmet and Space Suit mods and can be used to craft the six valuable super heart meds.
Installation - They install like any other mod. I use Mod Organizer 2 with no problems. I don’t know enough to help with any other type of installation. I’m not aware of any conflicts with other mods unless they change the mining of Aqueous Hematite and Caelumite. Since most know Caelumite for its role in covering Artifacts, I have tested and have found mining the mineral has no effect on the game play.
See my video on how it works. And let me know your experience or any question, problems or advice in the Posts.
It is also up on Creations as two seperate mods (The temporary problem stopping Caelumite mining in Creations has been solved).
