Books used to be rare in the Settled Systems, but publishers have started reprinting old stories on cheap, fiber pulp paper. Now, space-farers across the galaxy can enjoy the adventures of Zorro, Tarzan, Solomon Kane, Conan of Cimmeria, Hopalong Cassidy, and many others.

Version 1.0
Initial Version
From the beginning of the 20th century up through the Second World War, popular fiction was sold in magazines or short novels printed on dirt cheap wood pulp paper (as opposed to more expensive, glossy magazines). The term "pulp fiction" refers to these stories...stories that gave us popular characters that we still enjoy in various media to this day.
You can treat this as an alternative to my Book Club mod, or you can use it in addition. The books should appear wherever random loot included books, or they can be found at the best (and only) bookstore in Akila City.
Stories about the following characters are included:
Bran Mak Morn
Buck (Jack London)
Buck Rogers
Conan of Cimmeria
Dick Benson (The Avenger)
Diego Vega (Zorro)
Doc Savage
Harry Vincent (The Shadow)
Hopalong Cassidy
James "Biggles" Bigglesworth
John Carter of Mars
Jules de Grandin
Khlit the Cossack
Kull of Atlantis
Randolph Carter
Secret Agent X
Sexton Blake
Solomon Kane
Tarzan
When I was looking for books for my other mod, I stumbled across references to a lot of these stories. They didn't really fit the theme of the Book Club mod, though, because while entertaining and memorable, most of them aren't ranked as "great literature." They do, however, fit the type of story you might expect to find on a pirate's bunk or in a kid's room in a settlement, so here we are.
