I find it annoying that whenever you enter a conversation with an npc or trying to confront a criminal while having your weapon out will force you to put your weapon away.

Like what? Am I not allowed to be intimidating? I want to brandish my weapon in front of them, I want to roleplay as an mean character. Why does my character have to be so polite when talking to npcs who will clearly try to fight me after we're done talking?

It is also a problem when npcs that already have their weapon pointed at you (because they will fight you) in conversation and when they are done, they will start combat, but you have to take your weapon out again! Talk about a tactical/strategic disadvantage. Well no more!

Also it is rather odd, because this was a thing you could do in previous Bethesda games. Where you could have your weapon out during conversations. So what the hell Bethesda?

Something to be aware of: Because of the way how the animation system works, when you are picking dialogue options, you will notice your character retaking out their weapon again. Unfortunately I couldn't make it so it doesn't play any animation, otherwise your weapon will become unusable.

Known Issues:

Entering a quest related cutscene that is supposed to force your weapon away can break. There is one situtation I can think of that can break if you don't put your weapon away yourself. Shown in the spoiler. It's a Shattered Space Spoiler. If you think there could be any other issues, put your weapon away before entering any special cutscenes.

Spoiler:
Show

The only time I can think something can break while having your weapon out is the ending cutscene when you leave the citadel and shutting it down in the Shattered Space DLC.

This is a small master mod file.

Compatibility: Anything that messes with the 1st person gun and melee and third person gun and melee animations may break this mod's functionality.
