The cape of some of the Starborn spacesuits doesn't look like it offers much protection. Not sure why there's a need for a tattered cloth when you already have an advanced spacesuit.
This mod adds a wearable energy cape for all genders. You can use it with the Starborn suits with or without a cape. If you wear it with the caped versions of the Starborn suit, the original cape will be replaced automatically. You may use it with other spacesuits, but most vanilla suits are too bulky.
The cape is purely cosmetic. The shield's appearance can be customised at the Spacesuit Workbench.
How to get the outfit:
- Craft it at the industrial workbench at the hefty cost of one iron. Look for the entries starting with ZY8.
- Or, get the outfit by using the console command. Search the IDs by typing: help ZY8
Once crafted, the cape is in your inventory's "Spacesuit" section.
TIPS
Once you have a stable-ish load order, I highly recommend this mod, which allows you to equip and unequip the cape with customisable hotkeys, as demonstrated in this video:
