Deflection System

There are now 4 types of damage protection: Ballistic High, Ballistic Low, Energy, and Bite.

Note: Due to technical limitations these are now applied individually per suit. The values have not yet been changed from the below.

Ballistic High offers a 13% chance to reduce damage from Pistol rounds, and a 4% chance to reduce damage from Rifle rounds.
Ballistic Low offers a 5% chance to reduce damage from Pistol rounds, and a 4% chance to reduce damage from Rifle rounds.

Energy offers a 15% chance to reduce damage from Lasers and 10% from Particle Weapons.

Bite offers a 50% chance to reduce damage taken from Xenofauna.

Note that any ammo types designed to pierce armor (DU, AP, Annihilator, etc) will negate this protection.
No EM protection is currently implemented.

Assault, Recon, and Starborn suits offer Ballistic High Deflection.
Utility and Pilot suits offer Ballistic Low Deflection.

Exploration, Support, Utility, and Starborn suits offer Energy Deflection.

Pilot and Exploration suits offer Bite Deflection.

Only Assault and Utility suits offer flat damage resistance outside of this system in 1.0.

Immunity Module

In 1.02 an optional module that adds certain immunities was added. The following Afflictions are prevented by the following Gear:

PHYSICAL

CONCUSSION : Utility, Assault, and Recon helmets
SKULL FRACTURES : Utility and Assault helmets
HYPOTHERMIA : Exploration suits
HEATSTROKE : Exploration suits
BURNS : Utility suits

ENVIRONMENTAL

MICROBIAL CONTAMINATION : Exploration and Utility packs

This system can be expanded easily, so leave any ideas for other immunities in the comments.
