We all love Ape and his unique style of pixel art, but next to cometkins' gorgeous gems and minerals, the vanilla game's artifacts left my museum with... a weird vibe. ☉ ‿ ⚆

Anyway, about 20 hours of archaeological research (yes, I'm really that boring LOL), pixel art, and lore improvisations later, here we are! I present to you, historically-inspired, more visually detailed museum artifacts with a few creative embellishments that hopefully maintain lore immersion.

Featuring, but not limited to;
- a prehistoric creature skeleton that actually fits together!
- spooky doll replacements with even spookier descriptions (happy Halloween... month! ⊂(≖o≖⊂ )∘˚˳°)
- 3Dimension-ish textures
- your own choice of dwarven technology style, default is designed to compliment Gwen's Medieval Craftables' style of (1.5 spoiler ahead!)

Requirements

Only requires SMAPI and Content Patcher, but I highly recommend cometkins' Better Gems and Minerals (and undare's animated version), andril11's Museum Expansion, Airyn's Random Lost Library Book Covers, and Hesper's Rustic Country Town Interior for the optimal museum and artifact collection experience!

Compatibility

Replaces each sprite individually NOT the whole tilesheet, so should be compatible with just about everything!
However, the patch method used is edit rather than overlay, so it should override any other mods attempting to replace the same textures.

If you want to install a mod which replaces one of the museum artifacts (or just prefer how one of the vanilla versions looks), you can disable each artifact individually in the config.

For more information, consult the Configuration_Guide.txt file included in the main download!

Installation

You can find a complete basics guide to installing mods here. For the vast majority of mods (including all of mine), simply follow that guide and then extract the .rar or .zip file provided by the modder into your Mods folder using a program like winzip, 7zip, or winrar.

As always, huge thanks to my lovely datefriend seitanicbean for coaching me through writing and debugging the json, as well as answering hundreds of optometrist-style "this version or this version? darker or lighter?" questions.
My mods would not exist without them, so everyone say 'thank you, Bean!'
