Even now with many updates this is still my favorite, I really can't find any mod that can replace this one, I will continue to use it until it loses its usefulness, love you and thank you from the bottom of my heart. also MISS you!!! Used a translator so sorry for any grammatical errors :)
For any of you who those having issues like characters appearing all wide and weird in game that means you must've put the xnb files into the characters folder and not portraits. I've had the same issue until I realized that I wasn't even paying attention and put all the files into a wrong folder...
Can you pleeeeeeease update this mod!!!! i desperately want to get it for stardew because your portraits are insanely good!!1 please update it to be compatible with the newest version of stardew!! Thank you!
Hello! I am having the same issue as him accept on a Mac so I don't think I have the folder stardewvalley/content/portraits I even searched it up and still could not find Sorry for wasting your time!
Make sure to backup the default xnb files before doing this. Or delete old/messed up xnb files and go back to properties/local files in steam, then press verify integrity of game files to get them back to default.
Go to steam, right click on stardew valley, go to properties then click on local files. Browse... then click on content, protraits, then drag the xnb files into folder.
Thank you for helping I am responding late but it didn't work :( that's ok I guess I will just stick to seasonal villagers outfits when I did it @Sazie it just every time I taped on the world I would to play it took me right back to the loading screen
Right click on the StardewValley application then show package contents, then in the "Contents" folder go to Resources/Content/Portraits. And replace the files.
When I install these, not only don't I see the changes in the portraits, but the sprites are all messed up as well. I'm going to have to revert... such a shame, because I really liked these.
NEVERMIND: I was putting them in the wrong folder - my bad. Everything looks great now. Thanks for all your hard work. Cheers
