What it does:
You know what my farm needed? More birds. You know what everyone's farm needs? Also that.
So, based on the owl statue already in the game, I did a series of scarecrow replacements based on real owl species. The normal one is more of a simple wooden owl, much like is actually used to scare away birds! Each rarecrow is it's own detailed owl based on a species I felt had some attachment to the season/festival or person through which it was obtained... though good luck identifying most of the species based on tiny tiny pixel art.

Installation:
1 - Backup your files before installing this mod if you ever want to revert your scarecrows.
2 - Put the "Content" folder into your Stardew Valley folder, overwriting the existing files. The typical installation directory for Steam is going to be something like "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Stardew Valley"
The optional download is not necessary for most users. It is a .png file of my owls fitted to the template for craftables.xnb.
If you use multiple mods that replace the same file and know how to edit the game's textures you can add them yourself, though I ask you do not distribute them without my permission first.
