Oh yeah.. I didn't think about it-- I guess good luck with that..? haha-
Oh aside with the exhaustion overlay, your damage overlay doesn't scale properly when we zoom in/out. You might want to focus on this more rather than my useless suggestion lol
Hello. This mod is a good idea. However, I would like to suggest you something. Can you make a version where we have a damage overlay like you have right now, but just without the blood splatter? I saw your demo video, and I feel I can't handle the blood splatter effect; it's too visceral for me and it's making me feel sick. I do still want a whole screen overlay indicator like this, but in a version without the blood splatter. I would suggest a clean faded red border overlay is enough, without the splatter effect.
I tried that one mod that gave on screen notification about low health, but I feel a screen overlay idea like yours is more responsive for me. I hope you can consider my suggestion. Thank you.
Any suggestions on what kind of overlay? Maybe a simple red haze? Or red scratches at the borders? (Doesn't have to be red, of course)
Edit: I'm not an artist so please don't ask for things too complex ... I'm at the mercy of royalty-free clips out there...
Edit 2: Oh I saw your suggestion. Somehow I overlooked that first time. Clean faded red border ... let me see if I can find a nice royalty-free PNG ;-)
Hey thank you so much! I really appreciate it. Since I've been buffing the mines' difficulty a bit through mods, I've been dying a bit too often LOL. Now I'm sure I can stay alive longer in the mines. Thanks again!
My tip for doing deep mining is always to stock up Life Elixir; despite what the tooltip says (+90 health or so?) it actually fully heals you no matter how low your health is ;-)
Your request had been partially implemented in v0.7.0; pressing semicolon hides the overlay. But it will reappear automatically when your Health change. (Because I'm concerned that I -- or another user of this mod -- will simply forget turning it back on, and thus caught unaware).
Hey - love this idea. This was something I wanted to implement for a mod I was working on: https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/5941 https://github.com/embolden/Heartbeat/issues/1 https://github.com/StardewModders/mod-ideas/issues/386
I'm not actively modding SDV at the moment so I opened up the permissions on my mod as much as possible if you want to absorb the functionality from it.
And I keep leaving my Life Elixir bottles at home, d'oh >.<
(Fun factoid: Despite the tooltip telling Life Elixir only increases health by a certain amount, it actually restores your health to full, no matter how low.)

Edit: Low Health Warning works as a substitute
Let me see what I can do. Won't be soon, though. Probably sometime next week.

Sorry if im pointing out things too much haha
I'll do some experimentation on that.

I'll modify -- and rename -- my mod for you.

Please totally delete the older version, install the new version, and edit config.json to change "overlay" to "simple"

Good work!
I'll visit your sites and see what idea I can help bring to reality :-)
